Repubs blocking legalization in DC and the Dems are letting them

I just saw a backroom deal is being made to pass a budget with a rider preventing legalization in DC. Dems refuse to go to the wall to prevent it. Sometimes I hate this country. For those who don't know, congress controls the city of DC. They do not have a representative. It's the only place in America that is not represented by Congress. That means random politicians from Mississippi over ride elections there, just like this.

Surely the valiant democrats will go to bat for their cannabis consuming constituency!

you will see nationwide in our lifetime.

all states will eventually go.

states wait to see what happens, work out the bugs.

then when they see another state pulling in huge revenue..they get a boner and find a way to implement..people vote and voila!

providing they don't have a sheldon assilson.

florida had 58%..and still didn't get it..since when did the people need a super majority?
 
So, what you are saying is that Republicans and Democrats are jointly (no pun, Esse) blocking legalization of Cannabis in DC.

no, the republicans are.

democrats just want to pass a budget.

@ChesusRice predicted this precisely at about the same time you were telling is how much these freedom loving republicans would embrace cannabis reform.

turns out that chesus was dead right, and you were dead wrong. like usual.
 
not even all Republicans just certain conservative ones on the committee.

Latest reports now say they will just block any sales.

Since they tried to amend the FL constitution.
