When i was a kid color tv was the big thing & not everybody had one,they still had serials on the radio like Flash Gordon & Gang Busters,there were no cell phones,no microwaves,no push button phones,no video games,no vcr's,no cd's,no remote controled anything,no internet,no fax machines,no cable tv (antenna only) no electric start motorcycles.Stick shift was the most common transmission in cars & they were the 3 speed on the tree style.i thought i was deprived as a kid!!! lol jk, i think your older than me, nintendo wouldnt be around as a kid if your in your 30's. im 23myself.
lol, ya when i was a kid all this stuff just started to come out! some later than others, i.e. cell phones. imagine ONLY 20 years from now?
and you could still buy lids of weed and an oz was 25 bucks. i think what i miss most was the sex. no aids worries - the biggest concern was herpies and pregnancy (but mostly just pregnancy).

I don't recall the party line but my folks still use one of those old heavy-duty Ma Bell rotary phones! The sound clarity and quality far surpasses any phone I've used since.
