Revegging a Reversed Plant

Has anyone done it?

I reversed a plant and cut the top off as it was all I needed for pollen. I put the rest outside and just left it. That was a couple months ago. It's still alive and flowering but now it's showing pistils.

I'm going to let it grow outside and see what it does.

I've done a bunch of searching but have not come across anything from anyone that's done it so I guess it's time to find out. I'm just looking to see how the plant grows after being reversed and revegged. Maybe others are curious as well.

The plant looks like crap from being sprayed with STS and then from being just left outdoors and neglected. I'm going to transplant into better soil for this observation/experiment.

You can see a few pistils. The plant is in flower mode but the effects of the STS are wearing off and the female plant is now showing female flowering instead of the STS induced male flowering. I'm thinking of bringing it in at night and putting it under lights to give it 24/7 lighting.

Save any of that pollen? Seems like a second seed crop is in order.
No but It seeded itself. I've identified a few seeds in the process of development. It's revegging nicely though. I do have some pollen I just collected from my BNG "Banger Night God" male. Bruce Banger + CBD God/Night Nurse. I just used some on a Thai leaning Golden Tiger and am going to vial it and freeze. Should be good for when the plant starts flowering again and I'll have seeds and another cross. Like I need anymore.

I also have a reversed Thai leaning Golden Tiger that just started dumping pollen that I'm using to make some feminized GT. I'll hit it with some of that on a branch or 2 when the time comes. And there will be another cross.

I need an acre and an unlimited plant count to be able to grow everything I've done before I die.

Plant looks like crap but after being sprayed with STS and then tossed outside it still wants to grow. You can see the reveg growth.

I don't know why I made this thread. I was pretty sure the plant would reveg. There really wasn't any reason why it wouldn't. I had just never bothered with a reversed plant. Now I need to decide if I'm going to pollinate it for more seeds when the time comes and with what. I have a bunch of different pollen in the freezer. But even if I don't pollinate it the flower should be good to smoke as what was sprayed will be dead and gone come harvest. But something in the back of my mind gives me pause as to smoking it.

Just an update. The plant revegged just fine. Looks like It's going to be a productive plant. It gave me feminized pollen and now it's going to give me some smokable bud. I likely won't bother revegging a reversed plant again but I accomplished what I was trying to do.

It probably would like a bigger pot but it isn't getting one. The soil is depleted so i'm going to have to treat it like soilless and feed every watering to get it to green up.

Your tomatoes look so good. I sat here and stared at the plants for a bit LOL.

If she can survive all that then must be a keeper!

I'm going to leave the bottom half of the plant at harvest time and stick that out in the greenhouse. We'll see if it survives over winter.

Tomatoes are just starting to turn. I got a couple today and there's a few San Marzano's ready to be picked. I have a ton of green tomatoes and what's going to happen is they're all going to ripen about the same time because most are determinate varieties. It's going to be one week no tomatoes and the next week more than can be eaten.

Transplant it even if it's just HD bagged soil. Rep is on the line theres a thread...just saying
I'll probably up-pot it. I'm not concerned about rep but I might as well get the best I can from it. I'm not doing it today though. It's too damn hot and triple digits for the next couple days. It's supposed to get down to the low 80's on Monday so I'll probably do it then. I think I'll just mix up some compost, ewc, and used soil to put in the bottom of a bigger pot and then just fill in the sides with some on top as well. I also have peat and coco.

I need to get some rice hulls as I don't use perlite anymore. I was just near Concentrates the other day and I forgot to stop and get a 50 lb bag for $16.

But you're right. I should put it in a bigger pot.

Well I did transplant to a bigger pot but not much bigger. I basically just broke the root ball up some and dropped it into the other pot on top of about 6" of some recycled soil that I amended slightly. I lost some leaves that turned yellow but I think I got it under control in time. Still have some yellowing but it's much slower. I've just been feeding it JADAM and KNF solutions I make myself. I'll probably finish it off indoors. It's cool enough to run my lights now.

Many years ago I read something about a pollinated female that produced seeds, if revegged, could/would have higher thc content the next go round. Anyone have thoughts/experience?

If that is actually the case...I wonder what benefits OP could see on this go round?

I've revegged a lot of plants over the years and never noticed it being stonier the 2nd go round. Or the 3rd for that matter in a couple of DWC revegges I've done. Another one of those stoner myths I'm afraid.

Yeah I don't know about it being more potent. I do have another Night Nurse that came from seeds I made using the feminized pollen from this plant so when they're done I'll have a side by side. But it's kind of hard to do a side by side smoke test. If you smoke one then the other has to follow but you'll already be feeling the effects of the first so a side by side smoke test is not going to have any useful results. And I'm not going to bother testing any which I don't even think I can despite having numerous labs in the area. They all want you to have a commercial license.

This was more of just a little project to show how resilient cannabis is. You can use it, abuse it, leave it almost dead, and with just a little care it will survive and thrive. I'm going to reveg this one again after harvest to put outside next spring.
