Sorry BBClan I have givven out to much rep in a 24hr period. lol
It's all good, I'm just stoked to see someone attempt this! =D

The only other thing I've seen so far that even comes close to this idea is the 'keep on spinning' tube grow I saw on Youtube a while back: HERE

Yeah I've seen those tubes before - for me though they are way to expensive!! And for the room I can get more off the floor and ceiling without spending godly amounts of money, and keep my plant count under 100.

And as for putting my lights on the floor. This is what my floor looks like all the time.

P1000449.jpgP1000450.jpg There's no possibility of it in my perpetual room. lol

Either way i wanna c the results as im sure you do. happy growin dude keep us posted

I was considering doing a hanging grow myself but I didn't like the way the plants just curl to the light so it's basically right side up anyway.. My theorized solution was/is to use a disco ball hanger to hang the plant from. This unit keeps the plant spinning constantly so it does not want to turn right side up, as for the light, it would be on the side as in a vertical grow.

i would imagine the point tho is to see how the roots grow and if the rushing of food goes to the plant quicker due to the gravity

im also still curious of this tho in ur assumption that the plant will not curl to the light becuz it is being evenly spun around the light... i think it would still curl just more evenly instead of the plant bending to one side... i think this would be a kool idea to try if you TOPPED or LST'd your plant or both, then mayb each branch would then EVENLY bend towards the light.. becuz the plant is still infact upside down and the light aswell to the plants eyes so i still say it will bend towards the light... the top of the leaves are what take in the light so they would need to flip or BEND towards the light still to make that adjustment... this is why im wondering how things would go if the lights were placed on the floor facing the ceiling lol.

With 1000 watters I dont have to spin or move anything. LOL I have 8000 total and there isnt many shadows in my room. lol

The leaves will always turn to the light. And the very first budz will always as well. But As they get heavier they will hang and will need to be tied up.

Yeah I'm doin other expiraments with cfls in there as well mixed spectrums? I see everybody getting the gynormous buds with um so why not throw some in the undercariage like your saying.

I will have 4 bulb lightbars. That are movable with 4 75 watters on each. so they'll recieve the special treatment. They all get it. lol yum

definetly sounds like a good idea, more light never hurts!

I'm interested to see what the roots look like - I'm guessing a four-inch thick pancake of dense, spun-out roots all stuck to the bottom of the pot.

No I got about 14 to 16" of coco in there and it already has filled the bucket roots wise. I had to add more coco b4 I hung them.

What kind of coco do you use? I know they sell in different grades. I'm thinking about giving some of it a try for my next grow.
