I'll tell you why vets don't stick around here and help; is because they are outnumbered by idiots that lack skill and experience (accompanied with a dire need of attention to feel important) that argue with them. Combine the know nothing idiots with the copy/paste bros that lack any real skill (like chuck) and you have 98% of the riu user base.

I got more than 2 lights and about 6 years just indoors but noobs are kind of stupid and know it alls I see no point arguing with noobs. Like this last guy claiming to see amazing grows with CFL's. Lol, How do you work with people like that? Then the kid asked me about yield at not even 30 days in flower. So naturally I said about a pound.

Bro thats nufin. Once at a grow shop some guy comes in ANGRY as fuck because he got some seeds and one didnt germ. Saying: Im a proffesional grower! Been growing for over 2 years and i have had 100% germination rate! So the worker asks really? How do you germinate?
He claims, I take 1, i repeat, 1 seed, and germinate it, give it an excellent vegetative period and take cuttings for flowering. And when i get tired ofg that plant ill go and get ANOTHER SEED (rom same pack lol) and do the same thing.
Shop was pretty full and everyone was laughing at his face. I believe you could get 100% germination rate if youve only popped 10 seeds your whole life lol

For real you should check out the strain section most them guys grow out a single fem seed and suddenly they know everything about the strain. Even this one guy hazeygrapes I think it was grew some of the worst plants I've ever seen all fem singles and going on and on about each line when the guy cut his plants as soon as they started to stink. Lol, But he talked like a pro.

Op....you have some valid points, but this site still has some great growers......and some shitty ones, but it is still a wonderful place to learn technique. You just have to sift thru the bs. RIU has definitely improved my growing, curing, and strain selection. It is also pretty entertaining at times. Anyone who thinks they know everything about growing cannabis just hasn't grown it long enough.
