I can only speak on my own experiences. I've read good and bad also.
What freaked me out about the bad reviews was not that it was the usual stuff, like bad customer service or long wait times to get the seeds, it was that he was opening packages from the breeders and replacing their seeds with random seeds and then reselling them. That's serious fraud at a whole other level. At least with DP seeds they come sealed in packages that would be super obvious if they were tampered with.

Everything I've ordered came in the original breeders package. Fast Buds, DP, Phoenix, seedsman, royal queen, pyramid. I don't know about others but I've been happy with mine. But I hear ya. Good reviews and Bad reviews you just don't know what to believe unless it's been your experience. Happy Growing.

RocBudinc has made growing fun again.....with new stuff dropping every 2-3 weeks with all these tricky, buy-me names....
One thing for sure, Roc has the purple shit down....and potency to go with it.

"and potency to go with it" is the part I'm focused on.

There's an old saying, about how you can only do three things in life, and only do two well (or something like that). I feel like that applies to some degree to breeding cannabis. I grow for someone with a very high tolerance, so when I'm picking strains the priorities in order are: potency, volume, flavor. And if the plant is a pretty color, that's nice too. About 3 or 4 years ago I grew some Dark Devil, beautiful dark red plants, the one I grew was not potent, not worth smoking. After that I decided to avoid buying strains because they were 'pretty', it just felt like if in the pheno hunt the breeder focused on color, inevitably their choices and priorities gave something else up. It's really hard to have it all.

I've read Roc can cover all four, which is why I'm going to give his stuff a try. In one sense, given my no long standing habit, I'm trying his seeds in spite of them being pretty. ;-) And as it happens, they just showed up in the mail today. Painless purchase experience, even got an email letting me know it had been delivered.

Greybeard has some. I've order from him several times no problems.
I ended out ordering from him, he fucked my order up and has not responded to calls or emails. It's nice that some people have had good luck with him, anyone who goes there just needs to know its a roll of the dice. He still lives up to his bad reputation.

North Atlantic Seed Company has restocked Dutch Passion Seeds. They have a lot of different strains some I've never heard of.
Yes, they do, they restocked about a week after I ordered from Greybeard. I wish I had known, I surely would have waited.

@Tiflis - if you pick any up I'm interested to know which strains you get. I'm going to put a couple in my outdoor this summer, I'm looking forward to seeing how they do compared to the Mephisto strains I've grown.

But I just realized we're in a RocBud thread... no worries, I'm planning on growing one or two of those outside this summer too. :bigjoint:

That sucks that they messed up your order. I ordered Dutch Passion #1 And Auto Mazar from greybeard on March 14th and received them the 18th. I've never had to contact them about an order so I don't know how to get in touch with them.

I'm having the same problem with Jordan Of The Islands. They responded once to say they were behind and then nothing. I've emailed them several times and no response at all. It's a roll of the dice every time we order from anyone. Orders get messed up or lost or confiscated. No mater what state we live in it's still illegal federally to order seeds so what can we do? I'm sorry that I posted that I have never had any issues with greybeard before. I will keep my opinions to myself. Sorry.

I'm sorry, I disagree with the statement "It's a roll of the dice every time we order from anyone." I've ordered from a half dozen different seed banks (some repeatedly) and directly from a few breeders, and this is the first and only time I've had an issue. You are not the only one to post positive reviews for Greybeard, sometimes he gets it right. He sent automated emails tracking my shipment, and it arrived in a respectable amount of time. It just wasn't what I ordered, and there was zero response to my phone message and email. Anyway, I was an idiot for ignoring the bad reviews and I hope others don't make that mistake.

Moving on...

I've also order from a dozen or more seed banks and never had an issue until recently with JOTI. What I ment was when we see what other people have experienced with a certain seed bank and weight the possitves and negatives and make a decision to order that's a roll of the dice. Ultimately from all your previous post you believed greybeard was a bad seed bank. If I thought for a minute that a seed bank was switching seeds I would never had made an order in the first place. Again sorry for posting my positive experience. Hopefully everyone will read your negative experience and avoid them. I'm not defending greybeard Ive never had to contact them so I can't speak to that.

They have a lot in stock, wish I hadn't looked. I'm holding out strong for now, but I suspect I'm gonna crack come 4/20 sales :bigjoint:
Their white widow caught my eye and I like all the descriptions of all their high cbd offerings. Only strain I have from them is cbd compassion lime

Well I thought the 3 auto mix freebies were going to turn out to be duds. My error, they had ended up too deep after watering. Should be breaking the soil very soon. Really interested to see what they can do outdoors in Northern England

Last time they had DP (back in Oct/Nov 2020), every time I looked more items were sold out. It was around the time HSO and Dinafem shut down, Covid was slamming shipping, and there was a lot of panic buying. Mephisto and RocBud were also having issues with filling demand at the time.

The person I grow for smokes a lot, likes sativa doms, and needs pretty substantial quantities to make it through the year. So last time I went with some of their "XXL" strains -- Glueberry OG, Daiquiri Lime, and Lemon Kix (they don't seem to have that last one this time). The big favorite, the one I couldn't get last October because it was sold out before I got there, is Cinderalla Jack. They claim it's their highest THC strain. I got some this time.

I'm glad I'm done buying seeds for the year (or 5, or 10...), I don't like to buy seeds once the weather warms up, I hate to think about them stuck in some hot truck for days in shipping.

I look forward to hearing how your plants do outdoors, maybe in May we can start a northern hemisphere outdoor auto thread. :)
