Ron Paul wants to end federal marijuana prohibition

As if his monetary and constitutionalists beliefs weren't reason enough to vote for him, he also thinks cannabis should be legal as our founding fathers did.

If it were federally legal or feds had no authority over states on this matter, I would grow more hemp than cannabis to be honest. I'd immediately go looking for land in Cali and grow acres and acres of hemp.

Someone may have posted this already, but I haven't been on these forums in a while. it's just important that Ron Paul gets elected and I figured even the most hardcore liberal/neo-con/sheeple might support him after finding out his stance on cannabis

I dont know about Cali as you would pay 10% income to the state and then get a hefty Corp tax if you wanted to protect yourself with Corp laws.

Got an eye on 800 acres that were recently planted to oranges here in cali. Would love to see hemp instead. Not thc containing cannabis, that would come from home. But seriously 800 acres of hemp.

i have enough dough to make it until next thursday. the whole growing plants thing is not lucrative in my area where ounces go for $125 or so.

you'll need a better investor :)

you don't think you need machinery to plant 800 acres?

and machinery to harvest 800 acres?

and diesel fuel to power the equipment that will irrigate 800 acres? and also the equipment?

what about amending 800 acres of soil? testing it to see how it needs to be amended?

commercial farming is expensive. it is my dream, but even with my wife's wealth and her family's wealth, it is out of reach.

i got 5 on it.

what she wants is to live on 10-20 acres very near a major city. plenty of those places where we live, but she has to go through a couple years more schooling and internships before we settle down somewhere.

i could make my living off 10 or 20 acres or be self sufficient at the very least. i always thought she wanted a regular lot closer to the city, so when she told me this it was like hitting the jackpot.

My dream would be 5 usable acres surrounded by 35+ acres of "unusable" land in the hills.

My bro-in-law is a real estate agent and was showing a property similar to what i want when some guy came up on an atv and started asking them what they were doing there. My in-law, an ex sheriff, noticed a five-fingered leaf on the guys shoulder and when he picked it off the guy split. Son did my in-law and his client lol.

If they'd just legalize it this crap wouldn't be an issue imo.

No way Obama will legalize weed. Ron Paul would make a WAY better president.
Not attacking you at all and i fully agree.

But without providing SOME kind of support for your statement, you will be ripped to shreds.

This is not a place for the meek, uneducated in politics and debate, nor simple party followers. Not implying you are any one of the preceding three and i believe you are well intentioned and open-minded and have chosen wisely.

Just saying that there are a few very seasoned anti-RP debaters here and i say we keep the convo going.

One big key in debate, imo, is to not leave an opening for your opponent. Kinda like boxing or, my favorite, chess. i learned that the hard way lol.

lol. 3 years of proof is not enouph? I welcome it. Obama supporters jabber all the time about how they want proof, yet when I ask somebody to support a statement, it falls on def ears. You libs don't need to show proof, then niether do I.....

in 3 years, obama and the democratic congress have helped my family by:

allowing my wife to buy insurance despite a pre-existing condition
making work pay tax credit = $800 so far for me, my brother, mom, and dad
ARRA - faster travel time to town due to expanded highway
lily ledbetter fair pay act - allows my wife or mom greater statute of limitations in case of gender-based pay discrimination
my dad (a carpenter) gets more work, especially when tax returns come in
tax breaks allowed me enough to invest such that i no longer have to claim UI
extend this to friends as well:

openly gay friends now allowed to serve in armed forces
friends going to college get more in loans
friends get tax rebates on energy efficient appliances which also save them money
friends have taken advantage of tax breaks for solar power (so i'm told) such that they get paid every month instead of paying for electricity
the holder memo
doma now unconstitutional

if you want me to list the things i don't like about obama, the list might be just as long. but the positives, in my eyes, far outweigh the negatives. i'm not going to blame his choice of bernanke or immelt for whatever happens to me. i happen to take personal responsibility for my status in life.
