Root Cured - is it a gourmet cannabis experience?

Hardly scientific, but my 38 yo son and I agree that plants gently uprooted, rinsed clean, and allowed to hang by the root tip until dry taste smoother than buds from branches that were cut off the main stalk. This is particularly noticeable in a short cure. Short cured whole plant tastes pretty damn good to us.

It's said terpenes and other components contribute to a better flavor which can only be achieved through whole plant drying. What's your experience, if you have some, with this method?

I always manicure the freshly harvested plant as it hangs upside down. Easier to clip fan and big sugar leaves while they're still moist.

Has nothing to do with the roots.

You're getting better flavors because of the longer dry period by hanging a full plant. The longer the dry period, the more chlorophyll gets removed, which in turn makes the cure period shorter.

I definitely prefer drying the plant as a whole! @superbak3d nailed it on why.

I personally won't begin trimming the plant until after it's dry. Trimming while wet can bleed the chlorophyll taste onto the buds (there is probably a more scientific way to say this).
