Does anyone know what the difference is between getting a root heating pad at the hydo store or walmart?

are them heating pads not for reptiles cause the guy in my local pet shop said they would kill the roots cause they are infrared or something

I was thinking of a a heating pad for backs and stuff. Maybe put something in bitween the pad and tray w/ humidity dome

i run an old heating pad under my tray and it pops seeds and clone roots like a dream..
seeds in 24 hours.. 4 master kush, 4 blue mystic, 2/4 white skunk, and 2 bag seeds.. all in 24 hours.. using jiffy pellets (expandable peat pellets). I use a humidity dome also but leave it open a crack so it can vent a bit..
Still waiting on the last 2 WS..

I got a heating pad that shuts off automatically. I don't like that cause I have to check on it every hour. Half the time i can't because of going to work.

price is the only real difference. you can use a dimmer switch to reduce heat if you are having issues.

The one I use I got from Walgreens for like $10. Has 3 different heat settings and works great.

The one you got at walgreens, does'nt it shut off automatically? i CAN'T SEEM TO FIND ONE THAT DOES'NT SHUT OFF AUTOMATICALLY.
