root issues?

heya RIU,

been doing DWC for about 7 weeks now , 2 weeks into flowering, wanna know now that i;ve killed off my male plant which was in the same res as my females how do i get rid of the root ball which all of them share?

i cant get rid of all it's roots and they're gonna be stuck in there with the other roots of the other plants. i dont wanna pull it out all together cuz im scared to damage the roots. will they just naturally decompose?

ill just keep changing the reservoir to clean out those old decomposing roots?

prevent root rot or smth?


also my roots have little white things growing on them can someone gimme advice on what to do?

i cant take pictures cuz im not supposed to flash the roots?

Pictures would be nice, but if they are white then your roots will be fine.. not sure what the white dots are probably nothing to worry about.. do they look like bugs?

Your probably going to want to cut out the dead roots, you don't want anything dead or decaying in your res and if they start decaying that wouldn't be a good thing.. i'd try to yank them off gently.. trying not to pull out too many of the other roots.. they will recover. Hope that helps

is there some kind of thing i could add to the reservoir to help get rid of the roots. impossible to try and take them all out...
