Root rot HELP ME!!!!!(RDWC)

Yeah I get that… definitely makes sense. Fairly positive I screwed myself over on this front. Have been looking at beautiful white roots while running orca and prior to the last res change there was a bit of a smell to the nutrient solution so I added in some UC Roots ( I just had it from a while back) for 24 hours ( 1ml per gallon) prior to my change out. New water going in was just nutrients, cal mag, silica blast and bennies and with in two days I have brown popping up on the root systems. Not exactly sure how these good bacteria set up and how long it takes them to establish themselves but I’m thinking that maybe my introduction of UC roots may have hurt colonies of good bacteria on the roots systems and then I killed them off with the UC roots making way for the rot (or whatever it may be) and the new bennies then didn’t have time to establish themselves before this took over. If that makes sense
These were from the other plant but just days prior (same system )

So now that I’ve tried this method, there is absolutely no way I would ever attempt it again… I have no doubt that it worked for some people but in my rdwc at 2 ppm (roughly around the recommendation) my plants perked up and then completely turned around and are on deaths doors with in id say 6 hours. Rinsed and flushing now so here’s hoping for a miracle but I’m fairly positive they’re goners. If it were only the wilting (visually speaking) I’d say maybe I have a chance but the roots went from white to brown and completely clumped up… with in this though is a lesson learned and also a smell characteristic that I now know means trouble… so all in all it sucks but at least there’s knowledge bestowed upon me

Don't use "Bennie's" in DWC. I think your plants was already dying from all the mixed treatments. Bennie's do nothing positive in DWC, most often only causes problems.

I've started seeds in 2ppm solution of chlorine so I think you must have done something wrong.
