Rooting clones

Hey guys, newbie here with my first grow overall. Generally I'm asking when can I expect them to root and what can I do to speed up that process?

(context) I'm growing GSC outdoors and I decided to take clones two weeks into flowering. I took some small cuttings and bought a rooting powder for them and put them into some plastic cups with artificial soil and moistened them with rain water. I made some artificial humidity domes from 2L bottles for them and have them places outside in the shade.

Skip that... go buy a cheap cloner (they have em under $50 on eBay) and get it done faster and better. No nutes gels powders needed, just water n 10-14 days. Nothing is faster or better.

Maybe I can look into doing that on future grows. But as for rn with my current financial situation I need to make that simple setup work

They have cloner that do 4 clones for like 20-30$ are you sure u can’t come up with it? It’s so worth it that if you do you will be happy. Guaranteed

This should work. I've never used rooting hormones, but they can't hurt. There is no speeding up the process really. The longer they are in flower the longer it seems to take for them to root.

There is a learning curve to getting clones right. Hopefully some of yours take, it might take 7-10 days, or roots might not form at all. I like nice big thick cuts, dipped in gel, then stuck in moist rooters, then stick the entire thing in a ziplock bag, blow some air into it and seal it up. Check it every few days to make sure it's moist like a wrung out sponge. You'll find roots form better if you let them get a little "too dry" after staying moist for a few days. I think it's easier for cloning newbs to use a media rather than an aerocloner.

I strongly disagree.... a cloner is a simple thing to use. And is way more reliable.

What you have done should be successful. Leave them alone and be patient. It may take a couple weeks for roots to show. You don't need anything fancy to start clones. I've used water cloners and they work great but if you're just doing a few clones, soil or coco works great. Keep the medium moist not soaking wet and warmth is your friend. Good luck.

That’s a 15 gal pot by the way. And she has been pulled down n held twice now. When I’m done she’s goin in a 5x5 netted space and gonna fill it corner to corner. Scrog.
