I'm not so sure if this is a problem yet but it certainly could be on it's way to one. I have two plants in a Wilma Big4, a pretty basic recirculating system with a 50L reservoir. I was just doing a reservoir change and noticed a large bundle of roots have made their way from the pot and into the reservoir!
Now I have some hybrid hydro system going on here, the bastard child of DWC and flood and drain. The roots are pretty healthy looking, they sit next to an airstone so are in no danger of choking. With 6 (supposed) weeks to go I'm just worried that bundle will get much bigger and out compete the other plant. Should I cut the roots out of the water or leave them to do their thing?
