Roots Tangled?

I have a 4 plant dwc system that i started from seed. I just flowered some clones and pulled the males. My question is, i cut the boy's roots as best i could but most of it was in one big ball with the 2 girls. So now i have 2 girls and a huge root ball. Suggestions? I already had a little browning on the roots so i was gonna start adding some hydrogen peroxide i think some one suggested? Will this help keep rot to a minimum? Also is there some way to keep roots from growing together in dwc?

Also, off topic but instead of posting 2, is this a good light? It seems too good of a deal for the money.

$239.95 GrowBright 1,000 watt High Pressure Sodium Grow Light Includes: GrowBright 1,000 watt HPS Ballast, Maxwing Reflector, 1,000 watt GrowBright HPS Bulb, 15’ Socket / Cord Set, FREE TIMER!!!
from here.
That whole site seems to have crazy prices on all in one light kits what's the deal?

Thanks!

Oh well, didn't get much response so i cut them really short (about 8 or 10 inches from the bottom of the pot). Will this stunt them? I don't really mind as they are going to be clone mothers anyways. I set up new dwc systems for each in 3.5 gal buckets and added half strength foxfarm. They each have a 100w CFL with their own air pumps. I wrapped everything in black 3.5 mil plastic to help with any root problems.
