Hello All :peace:

This is going to be my second grow. And my first journal. Criticisms or comments welcome and handy. :hump:

I shall update from time to time ( at least weekly )

Tuesday 27th November.
I put the seeds in rockwool cubes. The cubes were soaked in PH adjusted water. I kept the rockwool cubes PH at just 5.0
I then popped the seeds ( 7 sour stomper auto and 1ultra lemon haze auto ) into the holes provided in the cubes and then scratched a bit of rockwool over each hole.
Then placed the 8 into a lighted/heated propogator.

Saturday 1st December ( evening )
All 8 seeds have popped out.
I have raised the cubes up closer to the lights so the seedlings don't stretch too much and become wispy.

I made my grow room up in the loft. Using off cuts etc from work. I made it bigger than i originally planned. 6ft X 10ft. Height 5'10" tapering to 4'10". Most of my equipment is low end budget. But I figure that's not a bad thing for a newbie.
I am growing hydro. I have 2 x Wilma 4 pot drip systems. 4 pots are 18 litre the other 4 pots are 15 litre.
I will be using LED lighting. I have 4 Mars 600 LEDs ( true wattage 260v each ) and 1 QB 560w V2.
I have fans, carbon filters & dehumidifier.
My growing media is clay pebbles.
I will most probably use either PH Perfect Technology nutrients or Plagron Coco A and B. I have both types of nutes. I will also be using Great White ( natural bennies ). I even have a bottle of Canna Cure to control pests such as spider mite. I have never used it before, so I can't rate it just yet.

As I grow along, I shall state what nutrients and other/extra equipment i use.

Looking good man, interested to see how it progresses.

What lights are you using on your propagation setup?

I placed the 8 seedlings into the big pots and strung up 3 of the Mars 600's. ( I'm sure it's enough for the moment )
When looking at the photos... You will see I have not used enough clay pebbles. However with careful work I can raise plants and top up the clay pebbles. ( I did not have more and local grow shop closed on Sundays.

I had to go away unexpectedly and had to leave the seedlings to " fend for themselves" i did set a timer for water and opted to keep lights on 24 seven. have been back a few days now. I was surprised to see 7 out of 8 survived. Very stunted in growth and leaves yellowing and tips curl/brown.
Pull them out and start again? Or could they be saved? Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Thank you :peace:

Hello Folks :peace:

I opted to give the plants 4 more days and if they still looked grim then I was going to start new ones.

They are autos and going into week 5. Could this be a record smallest 5 weeker?

I have been back a week and was definitely surprised to see most survived. Most had first and second leaves yellow or brown etc. I gave it a few days then decided to keep them going for a further 4 days.

I have posted a before and after photo of same plant. ( Ultra lemon haze ) Minus the dead leaves.
That plant is only 1" ,tall. The other plants are sour stomper, all just under 2"

I did quite a bit to pacify them. Raised the LEDs, altered water schedule ( increased frequency but decreased the amount of times. Cleaned both tanks again then new water. Added great white and nutrients. Nutrients to EC 1.0 then checked and altered to PH 6.0. finally I added more insulation to the external of grow area. This raised temperature from 14°c to 25°c and that raised humidity to 55%.

Do you Folks reckon i should pull out or leave to grow. Why I am saying this is that since they are auto flowering and this is going into week 5.... and they being so little.... Will they still flower next few days? And I really don't mind you laughing at my question.... It might be a record for tiniest bud. :eyesmoke:

The bluple photo is just showing my economy simple set up. Which I think is a good way to start.

The other photos are of the sour stompers .They also had problems. But have grown an inch since I carried out remedial work.
Thank you All :weed::leaf::weed::leaf::weed:

I been researching further and since have planted new seeds. The current plants started looking pretty... But pretty doesn't cut it on this one.
I definitely believe it was the temperature and possible height of LED's.

Okay.... Next up.... All ultra lemon haze. Also autos. Fingers X. :wall:

Sorry to bring any bad news but ya it looks like you’ve already pulled them. I would have done the same being Auto’s.

You should have more than enough light for this stage of life. Did you say temp was down to 14? I would blame the slow growth on that for sure. Not saying you can’t grow in those temps but it’s definetly not optimal.

I can’t really offer any other advice as all my grows have been in soil. Good luck, hope ya get it figured out.

Thank you for the message/reply.

Yes, whilst I was away the highest temp recorded was 14°c. Now after remedial works 26°c.
I have started another lot. Again auto grow but I'm not sure the auto grow route is for me. I really enjoyed my first grow, which was non autos. It took 16 weeks, and always enough time to correct problems. So easier. So I may add a couple of blueberry fem and lsd non autos. And do half autos and half feminised. Need to research first.

Nice one dude
