Hi RIU

Just wondering what YOU guys can tell me about 'ruderalis'. Iv read up a bit on and was wondering if i possibly have one growing from some bagseed.
Anyone ever grow/smoke ruderalis?
Any specific way to differenciate it from sativa and indica?

Thanks

The only time I've seen someone grow that is in relation to an Auto; as they are bred with that type of plant to encourage the standard characteristics of an auto flowering plant.
I've never seen a straight Ruderalis grow ever.

C. Ruderalis is short and scrubby looking and yields very low thc content and will just give you a headache. it does however flower a few weeks after growth, photoperiod does not induce flowering. because of its early flowering breeders have been usin it to develope new strains, not sure if anyone has had any success though.

I grow a lot of different strains as Attitude keeps sending me exotic varieties to try. So I have access
to a dozen different sativas, indicas and rudys and my every day smoke is an auto-flowerer, currently
RoadRunner via Attitude.

Ruderalis, aka autoflowerers, do not have a vegetative state. They go straight from seedling to flower mode.
A ruderalis will typically have a large main cola and maybe a few smaller buds and budlets. A one ounce yield
per plant is a lot. I just harvested 3 RR and will be lucky to see a total of 3 ounces dried bud. But the THC level is high, 12-15%
I believe, and the buzz produces a severe case of chair-dropsey. You know, when you can't walk past a chair
without dropping into it.

Because the commercial ruderalis genetics are so manipulated the plants themselves are fragile. So stress and hermies
are more common with the auto-flowerers. Gotta keep an eye on them from 4-5 weeks on to make sure you don't
have a hermie pop up. Exact thing just happened to my brother with a batch of RR. 3 grew impressive colas and
2 went hermie.

Autos are fast, my RR go from seed to pipe in 67-70 days. They are also expensive as you cannot clone them. I
tried and was frustrated.

Good luck, BigSteve.
