run off ppms too high

I switched from go line to gh micro bloom 6 9 ratio. Now when I ph my water to 5.8 my run off is low 7s. I compensated this by lowering my ph to 4.5 run off then was around 5.9 Well now she's showing rust spots all over It Def looks like a PH issue
Should I be focusing on run off or just focusing on what ph is when I put into the coco?

I'm using coco for the first time just messing around w a cpl freebie autos i planned on trying to flower under a cheap Chinese led. I didn't pre charge my coco just flushed it to get the salts out.
I flushed it w a few gallons of ph water to try n get the ph down I'm almost wondering if I should just start over as the plants are only a few weeks old and I have a feeling I've stunted them quite a bit

your runoff is reading higher because of salt buildup in the medium. Always feed at a ph of 5.8 and just increase the amount of runoff a couple of times a week and that will help curb the salt buildup. Never feed below 5.8 or bad things will happen.

As far as starting over, I don't think you have hurt them that bad( pics would help) I think I am the king of stunting plants and I still pulled them through flower with great results...lol.

I have 1 feeding in the middle of the week that goes 3 times the normal run time and that has worked wonders to curb the weeks salt buildup. but slamming the ph all over the place stresses them out hardcore and brings about lockouts and health issues.

Hope this helps

Yes thank you that makes a lot ofsense I've just beat these girls up pretty bad lol.
It all started cuz I got the general organics line from a buddy of mine and having know idea what I was doing I was ph the water before adding the nutes in untreated tap water which apparently is a no go w the GO lime.
I found this out 3 weeks in and decided to ditch the GO line and just stick w the micro bloom I already had for my dwc buckets. But I mustve had some kinda crazy build up cuz like I said the ph was very high! Both autos are already showing preflowers just very small I'll take some pics tomorrow cuz it's lights out right now.
So basically just make sure I ph the water to 5.8and have 20 to 30% run off correct?
Pics to come tomorrow, do not laugh lol like I said they ain't purdy

yes, if you use tap water, let it set for a couple of days ( preferably with an aerator in it. Then add you nutes and ph it last.
Feed them till around 20% runoff and once a week, give it a good 50% runoff, but with the current level nutes and you should start to se an improvement within a few days.

No laughing here, like I said, I researched for 5 months ad still beat the hell outa my plants, but I stayed with it and they turned out okay. they are a lot more resilient than one might think.

Aight so iveI've takin your advice and they seem to responding well.
Just seem awfully small here's the auto sour diesel from dinafem. New leaves seem to be better.

I see no problems with the newer growth. Give them a few more days and they will get themselves back on track.
Keep the ph at a steady 5.8 and do a good long feed in the middle of the week. They will surprise you with their bounce back ability. I had one stay at 4 nodes for 3 weeks, hell, I thought it was petrified like a dried flower or something, then after the third week, it started blowing up and I ended up with over 2 ounces from that hurt little plant.

Stay true to the course and you will have your reward.

Steady as she grows

I've got a water farm goin she's a beast took off way faster than my others.
Thing is she's clawing and showing slight burning so I had her at around 400 ppms. Few days later she was at 200 so I upped her to 500 same thing dropped again after a few days.
I upped her to 630 and after 4 days she's just getting down to mid 500 so I'm guessing her sweet spot is around 650 or so.
The prob is she's been showing over feet the WHOLE time yet still eating like crazy? Should I just ignore the clawing as long as she's growing? I know excess nitrogen can mess me up when it comes time to switch?

I would keep things steady for at least a week and if the newer growth is still "clawing" I would back off, but the newer growth looks great to me.

If she gets a real dark green then you might consider backing off on the N if you are using a 2 part base nutrient.

I use canna nutes and I back off on part "A" about a week before I flower and keep it that way through flower. It literally makes the plants glow and the growth is unreal.

Steady as she grows M8.

never grew in cocoa but from what i understand your supposed to flush regularly with plain water then feed? feel free to correct me if im wrong but to my undertanding it helps to rinse out salt build ups so you can start fresh each week.

i dunno, anyways gl with your issue, judging from the pics them plants are far from gone, hope all sorts out for you

Feed with lower strengths and you can feed every watering. Easy to mix up a res and water with the same thing every time as opposed to remembering if you watered or not last time.
