Running out of head space

I have vegged too long and I don't think I can survive the stretch, what to do? Should I just hedge trim and see what happens? Or just really limit the amount of light for the next two or three weeks and hope for minimal stretch?

I have rooted cuttings I could just start over.

How big of a space do you have? I'd probably super crop.

Just see what happens, I do it all the time. If she gets wild on you enjoy the ride, super crop, if not ok. I don’t see why everyone is obsessed with height, just top or super crop. Lst and scrog nets are your friends, use them wisely and they will yield great rewards. You should always plan for height don’t get me wrong, but there’s always something that can be done to fix a problem.

There are a lot of problems with this grow, all of them self inflicted...a shit show of my own design lol. I'll spare you all the details but I've had a lot on my plate and this offsite grow has been a low priority and it shows.
I don't think I have the room to supercrop as they are pretty much filling the tent. I just replaced the light timer as I feel like it hasn't been working correctly.

And I think I have a zinc uptake problem due to city water being too alkaline. I didn't even test the water cause I thought it had to be the same as it was in the county right? Wrong.

This was a couple of days ago and they are a couple of inches higher, looks like there is some decent room left but I I get a double in stretch and it's gonna get really tight in there.

You still have room to supercrop. Break em over at the net in a pinwheel fashion, and as they point back up (about 6-7 hours, tie those leaders to the net with bread ties or something similar.
beat me to it! I've kept some monsters at bay with relentless supercropping. You know you did a good job when you hang the whole plant upside down from the tent ceiling and the buds all flop on the floor.

I have never tried the technique but I guess I can give it a go, maybe some youtube first lol.
It's easy man.... it'll make you nervous as fuck the first time you do it, but don't fret!.. you may even break one (if you get in a hurry) which I have done, and just put some tape around the wound, and it'll be fine... I've done it thousands of times. Get a leader branch at the net line, take your thumb and index finger and start squeezing and bending back and forth (we're going for a pinwheel fashion here) and pinch and bend, and we're pinching and bending.. you'll feel when it wants to flop over. You'll panic, but don't worry, go to the next leader. repeat. when you get to the middle, you can do what I call "cross tying".. it's in my Journal, but I'll find the link for you. Do all of this at the beginning of the light cycle so the have time to recover. You'll come in the next day and you'll see that it will look as if nothing happened, other than your canopy is now level. The next day when they have recovered and everything is pointing back up at the light, then tie all leaders to the net... once you flip, and the stretch begins, you may have to adjust the ties. Easy.

Supercrop if you need to like everyone's saying. But it looks like you have plenty room still. You could defoliate a bit in the middle too if you wanted. Are you still in veg?

Well that's another thing, I thought flipped these a while ago but I think the timer was wonky so I replaced it today and it's on a 12.5 hour dark cycle today.

It's complete shit show.:wall:

Looks pretty good man. If you want to limit stretch you should look into negative temp differential. Warmer night temps than day temps reduces stretch. It doesn't have to be negative but as close as you can get helps. It also helps to keep temps colder for a bit when the lights first kick on.

My brother from a different mother, I hate to throw any shade on your theory, but,.. you want that stretch. I gives those lateral branches more exposure to flower sites IF you have the room... which I think he does. I'd lean more towards keeping the temps and RH level during lights on and off, or at least a 5 degree difference all around... and yeah, defoil to get better light penetration, and lollipop up.

I totally agree. Some stretch is good. But it helps if you want to limit it.
