If you were using coco you would spot with raising the nutrient a little when the run off is coming out lower than goes in but in soil it's different.

Maybe @PadawanWarrior can advise you better or possibly he'll know someone who can advise you on soil/compost.

The majority of the mix is coco. The rest is peat. That sounds like soil? Interesting.

By visual inspection, do they look healthy? If so carry on, and if want to get fancy flush every 2-3 weeks. Just be aware your plants may have been using nutrients stored in the media and that would need to be replenished if completely flushed out. I actually use the rising EC over time in the media to my benefit and only do partial flushes until the last 3-5 days.

Exactly. Runoff can be useful but also misleading. If you know what you're doing it can totally be helpful. This is the kind of topic that brings the trolls out though, :lol:

A true reading on what’s going on is not the run off . Testing run off is nothing more then previous feeding / watering … all the access gets pushed out the bottom , what you want is slurry test . this is where you take a sample of soil close to the roots and see what the ppm and ph is … it’s not but damn near closer then doing a run off….
