I think sag was the breeder of blueberry bud?
Anyways I ran it bc someone.told.me he had a good cheaper version of dj's blueberry
I tried a single seed and it was one of my best plants that run
Fwiw
I was literally just writing the same thing lol.
Out of all the blueberry's out there, Sag's was the only one that stacked up to DJ's as I believe he worked with them too. Solid plants and no herms whatsoever!

busted you say?? isn't it legal to grow in Holland? I thaught that saga was based there
They are, and it is "legal" but no it's still technically illegal to this day even. Just overlooked mostly.

He posted online after the bust saying sorry to the community and that it happened bc it was too hot during flowering and the smell didn't rise enough. It sounds like he was martyred off by an associate or something went awry anyways. I didn't find much info on what parent stock was lost.

He and DJ did a collaboration that resulted in the blueberry bud line. Not sure how DJ was involved other than providing some or all of the seed stock used..

Strain Highlights
A true A-List cannabis strain. Blueberry’s legendary status soared to new heights after claiming the High Times’ Cannabis Cup 2000 for Best Indica. The long history of the stain is traced back to the late 1970s when American breeder DJ Short was working with a variety of exotic landrace strains. However, throughout the decades of Blueberry’s cultivation the genetics have been passed around, due in large part to DJ Short working with multiple seed banks and breeders. The sweet flavors of fresh blueberries combine with relaxing effects to produce a long-lasting sense of euphoria. Many medical patients appreciate Blueberry for its ability to suppress pain and relieve stress, while connoisseurs and growers admire the strain for its colorful hues and high THC content

Yeah I heard they "worked together" but the story about him passing out the genetics seems legit for some reason
it was so amazing back in the day (80s?) that I'm sure he had to share it with the world
All I know is I fell in love with blueberry weed after I ran some kushberry that smelled like blueberry muffins tasted like berry and lemon zest on a side note I wish I could find out what "Oregon blueberry" they used for that

Anyways I tried Dutch passions and various other blueberry crosses and while I haven't tried djs I will say sags blueberry bud was way dank and its what I think blueberry should be like

Strawberry d-lite

9 beans, 3 different strains, all popped the same day and these are the smallest by far. One is looking extra runty. We'll see what happens..P1090893.JPG P1090894.JPG

I could be wrong but I thought DJ has been spouting at ppl these days not to release his stuff in their lines that they are making money from. Always ranting about intellectual property and whatnot, saying that once he can trademark blueberry there will be legal ramifications or something along those lines.. Just rumors to me but it makes me wonder if it is true, what happened between back then and now? Surely he was sharing it with peeps even if he's changed his mind nowadays.

2000 MEMBERS CAN OVERGROW ANY SEED BANK WITH UNUSUAL TO JUST PLAIN SIMPLE IDEAS AND I BELIEVE THAT THE GENETICS SHOULD BE SET FREE FOR THE MOST PART, LOOK AT WHAT WE WERE MISSING OUT ON WHEN THEY WERE SECRET ISH

GOOD LUCK WITH THAT ONE, The ramifications will be on him. Quite apart from the fact he will be dead and fertilizing his seeds via decomposition, even it were to get through the legal process.
and that's a hell of a lot of $$$$$ to get every plant geneticly tested thats being sold under the name of "Blueblurry"
short by name, short on cash by greed. short in stature via ruderalis. FREE THE WEED:weed:

the PPC is locking out and has officially been runted. She looks to be N def with the leaves yellowing from the bottom up and the veins are super purple mostly towards the bottom of the plant. She must hate the mix... She'll be pulled from the bloom room and placed in the veg. If she wasn't my last seed I would scrap her but I'm holding out for something special.. probably just frustration and disappointment. hehe.

The strawberry d-lite are doing well. One is shorter, bushier, and has bigger leaves and the other which is my favorite has very small leaves and is a bit stretchy. She has a perfect xmas tree shape and is a nice light lime green compared to her darker sister. I'm really hoping for no intersex traits on this gal.

pollen chucked a great romulan stud's dust onto 4 good yumbolt gals about 6 years ago, result was disastrous, though potency, bag appeal and volume was good the taste was like a foul licorice tang, i and everyone who tried it found it so unpalatable to be not worth smoking, got about 5,000 beans of it if anyone wants them, though i would be interested in growing sags blueberry after reading the positive feedback from some here

DJ definitely still has the real deal, just really expensive. There was a few threads on here from his son JD, if you can cut through some of the shit, there is some dank photo's in there. I unfortunately didn't save any of my pics.
