Are San Predro's more potent when they are flowering. Someone told me that how you know they have reached full maturity and the alkaloids are only ready/more powerful then.

i dont think so bro, u can stress it by stabbing it with a knife or skewa(dont over do it) and feeding it maybe once a week prob less coz mescaline is a defence mechanism

Yea I'm trying to decide whether to stress it, I would feel bad mutilating it if it has a spirit. Gotta respect the sacred plants ya know. Feel like it would haunt me also lol. I do plan to drought it for a couple weeks before harvest though.

Lol you said fruit I was like "what? no fruit man, seeds man"

Why is a pic needed, its a san pedro, google it. Irrelevant to my question. Although I just discovered I had a USB cable that connects to my phone and can now take pics and put them on the computer, so if you'd still like to see simply for the asthetic appearance...

Oh shit man, you fixed my ignorance. So does the fruit have high amounts of mescaline?

Thats wierd, why they wouldnt that is. Ok soooo back to the original question, does flowering matter for potency or fully developed alkaloids?

the alkaloids are only found in the green areas of this cactus, not in the white meaty portions nor the flowers. potency of alkaloids are a product of minerals, nutrients and sun.

peace :)

ANC is god.

LOL man, still trying to convince my wife though.

Anyhow, like all other plants I'm sure it has certain natural cycles, which it achieves through chemicals storage/conversion, my guess is it will be most potent at the begining of the dormant season.. would be easy enough to google.

Either way I do not think you will be able to tell the diffirence in potency by eating the same plant at diffirent times! If its magic, its always magic.

Yea like I heard that its most potent in the summer time( I'm guessing do to droubting it thats all) But also heard its most potent in the winter. Why those would be true facts beets me, The only thing that makes sense to me is droubting it for a couple weeks, and the poking method. Because the more shit it takes the higher the need for defensive alkaloids.

anyways...

Yea thanks a lot for the info =). I might get started on the project soon, now that I know the flowers have nothing to do with the mesacaline production.
