Say it ain't so. Got the rot?

I had a plant with PM I took down last week in week 14. I tried do a h2O2 wash and it ended up molding on me. Trashed all 180 grams of my best plant.

I have 2 plants left in the room mid week 15 now. Been keeping temps at 22 to 24c and RH around 40.

I should say in the beginning my amateur stupidity thought it might be fun to try hitting VPD. With no equipment or experience, I know messed up early on.

These last 2 plants foxtailed like crazy, but are finally looking like they are ripening....although a bit darker then I would like, no, much darker. I've learned after 20+ years of smoking bud and being around grows, if it doesn't look or smell right, you should be worried every single time.

Moving on, I noticed a bit of potential pm on a leaf near where the other plant was and they might have been touching. I took that branch and neighboring branches off since it was late flower.

Chopping them up, I'm seeing things. I wish it were just purpling up, and I read the stem rots first and works it's way out so I'm hoping since I see green stem....

But as I sit here and type...something isn't smelling quite right. Wife describes it as wet forgotten towels. I know. I just think I need to hear it from someone else.

Hit me where it hurts.

Also, with this context. Would you mind commenting on this bud? Should I trash my whole stash? Damn it.

This was me trying to harvest. I assumed the fade was me not feeding right.

It looks like this after drying and being jarred for a while.

Loving this ego check. I'm generally a pretty good gardener, and can follow most instructions.

Everything in those pics looks fine to me. Harvested way early. Stem rot you won’t miss easily. A whole stem will collapse above where the entry occurred. Like someone shut off the water to that part. PM wont develop after harvest. The mycelia need lives cells to grow in. There are other fungi that will and most will resemble bread mold. The off smell is more likely from harvesting early and drying to quickly. IMO the drying stage before curing is the most critical to get the most out of what was harvested.

Sorry, I wasn't very clear. In the first post those are fresh buds taken from a still living plant (one of two plants).

I quick dried a previous plant that had mold, not these. I only mentioned it because these were exposed to that plant. Then I added a link to a post I made about another plant I am smoking on and got worried about.

Again, the pics in the first post only are from 3 lower branches that were near a fan leaf that absolutely had PM. I took the 3 branches off out of caution, and chopped them up for pictures when I noticed the smell and color.

They are entering week 16 now, so I'm not sure i'd say this is way too early? I know they are ready when they are ready, but 16 weeks is pretty late flower no? (breeder says 10 weeks which I know isn't always accurate). Fan leaves have died back, pistils mostly dried.

The smell is not the grassy, wet hay smell I associate with early harvest, it's different and I'm not sure how to describe it. I also missed lights on, so they are under my HPS now. I'll take full plant pics in a while to show what I'm working with. I still have concerns that something is wrong, although I feel a bit better and am holding off on cutting them down and throwing them out for a bit.

Edit:
I know the HPS means you can't really see anything in any detail. For context until lights out when I can take new pics.

Thanks! I stopped worrying about nanners last week, been plucking them until then I'm in Week 16 so it'll get some seeds or it wont but I'm out of patience for this grow cycle and am excited to start fresh.

The light stress was always weird to me. It foxtailed everywhere bottom and top and has always been 18" or more from the 600 watt hps. I think they're a bit neat looking now.

More worried about mold/rot if anyone sees signs.

If it is botrytis, you caught it very early, but it looks good to me. I had it in my last crop but I got a decent dehumidifier now, it’s going in the tent during flowering. It arrived during my last bout but prevented anymore growing. Got my humidity down from 65-99 day/night to 35/50. My old dehumidifier was cheap and crap. This new 150 buck one pulls a couple of litres easily within 12 hours. I’d highly recommend considering investing in one to relieve any future worries, especially for week 4+ after the flip.

I don't see anything but it's kinda hard to tell until you open up a bud. At least expose some stem under the bud.

In the first post I have the pics of buds that worried me, these last pics are the plants those buds came from. In those first pics the greyish purples worried me on the calyx's, but the stems looks fine to me.

No leaves are pulling off easily, although some broke off easily as if they were brittle in the stem.

From the sounds of it so far, I should just keep them going which is good since this morning I had been ready to chop them down and throw them away!

Purpling could be from a few different things but I don't believe it's mold. Black and gray are the colors id worry about.
