:leaf: Welcome to my hypothetical experience. :leaf:
Yeah, I know, it's a wall of text...
I want to thank you for at least clicking on the thread. If you can take the time here I think this would really help me get my bearings before heading into this next grow. Again, Thanks! bongsmilie

Given the constraints and choices I've made tell me what you would do. How many plant's you would grow. What kind of plants you would choose to grow. How long you would grow them for. If there is anything else you want to add.

For discussion's sake let us assume you have:

Grow room space of ~10x~12x~8:
One 5x5x6.5 grow tent and One 2x4x5 grow tent
Three 16" oscillating fans, One 4 inch axial fan, One 6" duct booster fan, One 4 inch 180 CFM box fan, and One 6 inch 400 CFM inline fan with speed adjuster, with ~25 feet of 4" ducting and ~50 feet of insulated 6 inch ducting.
One 9,000 BTU Portable Air Conditioner, a 5 gallon pail of Ona gel, and a 500 CFM carbon fiber filter.
One Galaxy 400w Ballast and One Sunlight switchable 1000w Ballast with digital timers.
One Wing Reflector, One 4.5 inch cool tube (HPS only), and One Cool Sun 6.
One 400w Phillips MH bulb, One 400w Phillips HPS bulb, One 1000w Phillips MH bulb One Eye Sunlux HPS bulb.

Growing Supplies:
Hanna GroCheck Combo TDS/pH meter
Aerated Party cups
Any number and size of SmartPot 1 to 7 gallons
One 4x4 rigid tray with drain (no table, just propped up)
Canna Coco 150L
Chunky Perlite 50L
GH Rare Earth 4lbs
Crushed Oyster Shell 1lbs
Humboldt Nutrients Myco Maximum 8oz
100 lpm air pump and round shaped air stone with 55 gallon water storage tank
Access to extremely clean water, allowed to breathe 24 hours minimum before use
Access to RO water as required also
TechnaFlora pH system

Nutrients:
Canna Coco A+B, Rhizotonic, and PK 13/14, Bio Boost.
Humboldt Nutrients Sea Mag, FlavorFul, Mayan Microzyme, and Ginormous
Emerald Triangle Gravity, Snow Storm, PurpleMaxx
Also have FF Grow Big and Tiger Bloom, EJ Bloom and Catalyst, and AN Sensi Bloom.

Genetics from Seeds:
Nirvana Ice, KC Brains Mind Bender, Sharks Breath, Sensi Star, Warlock, Rocklock, Wappa, Motivation, Sour Kush, Sour Cream, Chronic, and a Homemade Cross of Big Bud and of a G13xHashplant named Mr. Nice I got from a collective.

Mother plants in the 2x4 tent with the 400w MH right now:
GreenHouse Seeds Lemon skunk Mother plant. I found a vigorous phenotype with good resistance to stress and the best flavor of the bunch.
DNA Genetics Cole Train Mother Plant. Excellent Haze style high with indica charm. Has some stretch in her but packs flowers on flowers with excellent week 7 swelling.
Nirvana Blue Mystic Mother Plant. Total bitch to grow. Might just flower her out.

Notes on the room. :wall:
It has access to plenty of fresh air via a window. The circuit breaker and the water heater are located in this room. This is an indoor bedroom where stealth is as easy as closing and locking the door. Sound pollution can be a concern given this is in a mid-floor Apartment. There is a heater and a controllable thermostat in the room. I live in an area that can get very cold at night and experiences a tremendous amount of rainfall, which makes mold and humidity a top concern though the indoor environment makes for easy control. CO2 supplementation exceeds the current budget unfortunately, but maybe in 6 months this can be acquired.

The goal is to provide enough nuggage for the use to two users, myself and my girlfriend:hump: on about 450 Kwh per month. Anything over that would draw suspicion for certain. Our regular consumption is about 1/2oz a week, or about 2 ounces a month plus any variety of concentrates or eddibles we can get our hands on. This makes our minimum yearly needs at 24 quality ounces but I'm shooting for more like twice that so as to have the ability to make some killer hash. I think 48 ounces (3 lbs per year) is the ultimate goal with this current setup. If more can, and will, be done then so be it.

 You made it!!! Wooo!
I need everything to be set up and ready to go by Next Tuesday 10/26. The goal is to have a harvest before Valentines day so it can be properly cured by my birthday and for the summer.

Thanks again for taking the time! You rock and roll my world. +Rep to anyone that bothers to respond for sure (although I don't think it counts for shit yet...).

Snow, wow I am sooo jealous :) some day ---- based on other threads you should not have any issues at least meeting your minimum needs---- more like crush them :) Later when I can get on pc I will edit with links - I am sub'n :) Ok here is one that I am looking into down the road https://www.rollitup.org/hydroponics-aeroponics/116859-harvest-pound-every-three-weeks.html and here is another I am interested in https://www.rollitup.org/newbie-central/360125-new-growers-needed-grow-lab.html can't wait to see what you do-I'm still workin with a few CFL's and a bucket LMAO but I am truly learning so thank you for the thread :) Best of luck with whatever you decide

Thanks for the props man. Every 6 months or so I find myself with another $1200 in crap for this hobby of mine. And every time I think to myself "I have arrived!" There's still so much more I need, and most of it is the really expensive shit.

A few years ago I received some inheritance money, $20K. I'm kicking myself in the head for knowing what I know now because I could have taken $5K of that and built myself a baller ass grow room. Instead I went to Vegas and Tahoe, threw a big part, and put $7,500 down on a rental property. I was making $1K a week at my job... I just didn't spend wisely at all... Youth is wasted on the young, that is for sure.

I know it is typical of this site to get 50x the views to posts in a thread but is anyone else willing to give any input?

warlock is an interesting strain, Id aim for 6-7 females, vedge until 6", flower, and do partial harvest 75% trich cloudy for an uplifting high, the rest half/half more relaxing buzz.

The Ice, Id aim for half the crop 50/50 cloudy/amber, the rest all amber for a nice chill.

I will be Starting Again Here Soon and my setup is similar to yours....Kinda (check out the beginning stages on my grow journal). I know that you want us to use your equipment for examples but just bear with me and maybe something will spark in your head that I've done that you haven't thought of or you could just give me input on mine. I have a 2' x 6' x 8' cloning chamber unit that can support up to 750 clones....(prob only actually do like 50 at a time though if that even)... Than the 14' x 20' Flowering room We have 36 pots for a ebb and gro type system all connected to a 55 gallon drum. In the adjacent room (6' x 12') we have our vegetation room, it is the only thing that has not been finished, but anyways it will have 1 1000 watt hps and a 400 watt hps light (because the 400 watt was free lol) under 3 3x3 ebb and flow trays with 3 30 gallon containers. I will split the veg room down to where i only have 2 trays under the 1000 watt and the other tray is under the 400 watt light. The 400 watt light will be used for vegging and the other 2 trays will be used for a secondary flowering. Every 20-25 days will will bring at least 5 clones from the chamber to the veg tray to veg for about 2 weeks than put it into one of the trays in the veg room. The big flowering room will double as a veg cycle (because i obviously i cant fit 36 clones in a 3' x 3'). I Than can put at least 2 strains in the big flowering room and 1 strain each in the trays totaling 4 different strains. Every 20-25 days you will harvest at least 1 different strains continuously. I haven't decided on strains yet but in the back of my mind i have kept, Chemdog, Eldorado, blue mystic, and you gotta at least have og kush in one of the trays lol (I haven't done any research to see if they any of them are compatible with each other or can even coexist so don't take that literal). Hope that helps a tad bit!

Well tomorrow is D-day :) whats the verdict? I am very interested as a buddy and I have come to terms on a grow spot/room-a win win situation :) I am going to start small and slow as I still have so much to learn. I still have to check out the site but I hear space is not really an issue (blank canvas) but will have to be stealthy, mainly odor control as well as visual-when the time comes I will start my own thread :) Wish I could come help or for that matter wish I knew someone close by I could mentor from-I am a little slow at learning-do better with hands on. Blaa bla blaa -will definitely be keeping an eye here. One thing I will say from a lot of my reading is I am going to focus on Spider mite prevention and or control as they are currently a pain in my ass, especially now that current gurlz are in flower. Till nxt time

To Giveme: I have had to deal with spider mites before, and they are relentless. I never, EVER, get clones from anyone who's garden I cannot inspect myself. What I'd do after this grow, if I were you, is to use an insecticide bomb in that room, then clean everything with a bleach solution. I straight threw away an outdoor greenhouse that infected my babies because it was too much trouble to deal with only to later find out my efforts weren't enough. You need to eradicate those little suckers for sure though. I know what you mean about wishing you knew someone near by that had a good setup and a killer amount of knowledge, because I've always wanted that too. Getting a good mentor, for any field despite one as secretive as ours, is not easy to do. I'll keep an eye out for you and drop what pearls of wisdom that I can.

I'm still a little up in the air about flowering. I have my vegetative plan setup though.

I will be planting:
1 Warlock Feminized
1 Chronic Feminized
1 Sensi Star Feminized
1 Wappa Feminized
1 Motivation Feminized
1 Sour Kush Feminized
1 Sour Cream Feminized
5 Homemade Big Bud x G13 x Hash Plant
4 Homemade Jesus seeds (These seeds were immaculately conceived in my recent Cole Train harvest)

This is 16 seeds total. I might get lucky and every plant will spout. I think it is more likely that I hit 12 of 16 seeds sprouting, despite my recent success and 100% germination rates. So I'm planning on running somewhere from 12 to 16 plants during veg, with anywhere from 5 to 7 of them being fem'd.

I'm starting them in a mixture of Canna Coco, Grow Stones, GH Rare Earth, HN Myco Maximum, and some crushed oyster shell. The mixture is a good 85% coco. I have some 1L grow bags that I'll be growing everything in for a while. Probably through the first month. Then I'll need to make a decision.

I would like to allow all of my plants to pre-sex prior to transplanting to 3 gallon planters, but achieving this in 1L planters is pretty much impossible, even with coco. I will take whatever Fem'd seeds are going strong and plant them in my SmartPots with the hope none will herm when I have to. The other plants will be transplanted to 1 gallon planters until they pre-sex. This is usually sometime around the 5th week of life in my experience.

I'm planning on 40 days for vegetative life. The first 2 weeks or so will be spent under ~250w of CFL lighting. The rest of the time will be spent beneath a 1000w MH system. Flowering will begin when I have some info on how many females I have. I'm hoping to do 7 to 9 plants to finish. It is alright for me to crowd a little bit because I have my 2x4 tent opening up about 3 weeks after flowering begins (started flowering yesterday), so I can move two plants out of the big tent and into the 2x4 under the 400w system. If I don't have any crowding then I'll be putting clones from each female plant into the 2x4 to build up a few mothers for selection after I've had a chance to taste test each strain for favorites.

I just don't want to count my eggs before they hatch so I'm prepping for a variety of situations.

I have several items that are arriving today, so I'll take a picture of the tent and the supplies as soon as I get it all in one place. There are a few items I've decided to wait to pick up like the bloom nutrients, Ona Gel, and the new HPS bulb. I have another $100 to $200 wiggle room in my budget for extras after I pick that stuff up.

I've opted to wait on my 4x4 tray so that I can just get the whole thing for my next grow. My next grow needs a full CO2 system, and a full 4x4 Ebb'n'Flow system. Combined that should cost me about $800 to $900, plus nutrients. Then I'll be able to use clones from my favorite plants from this grow to run a straight to flower coco SOG. I'm really just trying out different methods to find one that will work for me best and the SOG is the only thing I have left to run. I also will be doing outdoor again for my first time in 5 years next season, which is going to be outrageously inexpensive.

I figure that every 4 to 6 months if I just add $800 to $1200 ($200 a month, $50 a week) to this room in the right way then in just a couple more harvests I should have some REALLY baller shit. Eventually I'd like to have a killer vertical coliseum NFT/Aeroponic setup, but I'm still learning and don't have the expendable income to f*c# it up the first few tries.

Yea 2day is a glorious day :) I will smoke a lil somthin to help you kick it off LOL -I can't wait 2 see how things turn out. Kinda disappointed that you did not get more input. If you don't already have one you should build a little bucket or bin cloner- kinda why I think I will go for "Stinkbuds" areo set up obviously on a smaller scale. I am currently trying out "Weed science's" method of air pruning-claims to increase yield by 25%. I was just reading about a set up like you mentioned (vertical coliseum NFT/Aeroponic setup) last night. So like with that set up the plants are planted in net pots and placed into the PVC pipes at an angle and the water is continually pumped from top to bottom? Kinda like a lazy river? that sounds super simple but whats the catch? Sorry this is your day and thread probably should be PM'ing these things. Have a good one :)

Lol, no worries Give Me. I'm lov'n the love.

So there was a hiccup yesterday. Turns out igrowhydro.com sent me a free shirt... to compensate for putting my pH/TDS Combo meter on backorder, along with my Rare Earth. I'm dealing with CS right now to find out when my meter will arrive. Until then I'm totally blind on pH. I mean, I have some experience balancing my reservoir and using my pH supplies, so I'm ballpark for sure... But I just don't want to start these things and not have the right equipment until 2 weeks in.

The Rare Earth I am probably going to swap out for Azomite. They are about the same price but the Azomite will last longer, and I am inexperienced with the conductivity of aluminum in coco, so I was hesitant to get it. Now it seems like either that or Dyna-Grow Pro-Tekt for my silicon needs.

Fucking igrowhydro.com aka gchydro.com really fucked me up the ass on this one. No one called to let me know I had shit on back order. I just open the packing list and there's a big ass stamp on it "BACKORDERED."

I may not be recommending them to people anymore. Sucks for them, I threw a lot of business their way. We will have to wait and see, they might be able to make this right by shipping the meter directly to me from the MFG on like 2 day shipping so it's here this week. That'd make up for it I think.

Oh... AND I can't find my duct tape... I moved it when I was stoned. So now I have to reach that level of stone so I can figure out what cabinet I hid it in.

Turns out igrowhydro.com is going to rail me and isn't going to get the meter in for at least another week. I told them to suck it and that I'm taking my business else where. Yokels. I wound up having to go back to BGHydro.com (someone I'd sworn off), and I got a Hanna Gro'Check Combo Monitor pH/EC/TDS meter. I went with Dyna-Gro Pro-Tekt as my silica supplement... I'm upset about not being able to get that rare earth but I know this stuff works so it won't really matter in the end.

The room is setup. The seeds are planted. I wound up planting them in a starter tray with some coco, oyster shell, and Myco Max. Then I watered it all down with a mixture of Mayan Microzym, Honey ES and Rhizotonic. Ball parked my pH to around 6.0, should be fine with coco.

So here are the pictures. Should give you a pretty good idea of how it has come together thus far. Still a few items to get, but I'm 90% there.

Happy Halloween Those Bastards :) I had a simular thing happen when I ordered R/C parts once, Thursday morning ordered like $600 in parts-Paid the extra $40 for next day delivery (Friday) cause they were needed 4 Sat-and because it was 1st order over 500 they 4 security purpouses they had to verify-(ok cool) For some reason geniuses shipped regular instead of next day delivery -DUMBASSES they did refund all shipping costs and thankfully my friend cancelled his trip. Why would I pay extra for shipping on Thursday yet even after telling them I needed it like yesterday ? D D D enough bitchn How r things ? Have you checked out that 1 guys set up with 12 1000w r's I see why but in my opinion he is kinda wasting it? Goin 2 checkout the possible grow spot this am-kinda creeped though as when I was reading the newspaper yesterday they had a thing about how they busted like six people in that area totaling 500 plants- kinda crazy but makes me ? the location... I am assume they were outside ops and used helicopters to find them :( We r planning on a small perpetual grow l think 6 oz per month -I also want to maximise the op as much as possible Oh well have a good one.

I will post some pictures sometime after noon today. It will be 4 days since planting exactly. I want to show to people just how effective planting seeds in some saturated coco is as a germination method.

I also need to finish getting my supplies Tuesday. So there will be those pictures sometime late on the second and then I'll migrate the all future stuff into a journal in the proper section.
