I may have pimped this site before but hands down one of the best mail order for booze sites out there. Some of the offerings are priced lower than what I could buy thru our state regulated pricing stores, and we are a state that "forbids" the importation of spirits. If you are in a forbidden state, make sure you actually check their shipping info or better yet send them an email. Shipments came to me FedEx. They even have free shipping if you order over $xxx amount (for me it was $300). At the very least sign up for their email newsletter. Cheers!

LOL, Kinda like asking what the best fertilizer is for growing weed. But, what I would start out with is just getting either airplane size bottles or 375ml sizes in case you don't like it. Or shots at a bar too. And I'd start with either Bourbon or Tennessee whiskey before trying Scotch, maybe Old Grand Dad, Four Roses, George Dickel or Jack Daniels. They're composed of different mash bills (the grains that go into the fermentation process) that all taste different. Hard booze does take getting used to, like your first cigarette.

Powers LiquorMart in Co Springs has it on sale frequently for $36.99 a bottle for the 10yr. Maybe I should ship to you???? lol
Now I need to find Lagavulin 16 for something less than $90 a bottle and I'll be happy

Regular four roses is remarkably good for the price. Old grandad is tasty as well.
Cant say i feel the same about the dickle or jack... Wild turkey is a pretty good intro

I like OGD, in fact the 114 is my current go to but never Jack Daniels. I like the over proof stuff. Dickle always tasted a little thin to me., but again most of it's 80 some proof.

Dickle was the first whiskey i tried. I was 13 and asked the old man for a taste, he poured me a glass and told me not to waste any.
It was very difficult to get that glass down. He had an odd way of teaching lessons

Never was a Scotch drinker. Funny how the pricing is different depending on your state isn't it? The few bottles of Scotch I've collected were more of a too limited/too cheap to pass up. Our state is selling the 16 for $94.

This is Seelbach's version of a distillery tasting room. I love the feeling of walking into a distillery and seeing bottles I've never seen in a retail store. These are great spirits that we have a little better supply of. They should be available throughout the year.

Way back when, Four Roses was a premium bourbon, then it fell to the bottom shelf for a long time. Now they are offering some top shelf versions.
{sighs} Bourbon pricing and availability anymore is crazy. People (taters [bourbon flippers]) lining up 20 deep in my little podunk town on allocated release day(s) to buy Booker's, EH Taylor, or Blantons. 60-100 people waiting in line for hours in bigger cities is not unusual.
