Scrog pics 6 weeks flower update!

About 10 days left. I'm going to start flushing tomorrow; still haven't decided if I am going to harvest all at once or just part of it. Trichs are mostly white, there a few ambers but only on some buds and not quite the amount I want to see.

Awesome screen man. You are like 2-3 weeks ahead of my first scrog grow (my first grow period). I am in the same question period as to harvesting at once vs. in parts.

Having never harvested anything before I'm not sure..... but, I think I'll be doing it in parts. At least 'layers'. I unlike you totally overgrew my screen. It's kinda cool because it looks like a jungle, but it was a lot of extra work, and I probably gave up some yield by shading more than I should have. Anyways, I have some stuff that gets more light than others, and from what I can tell on the trichs they are developing quite a bit faster than the more shaded stuff.

We both shall see just how possible it will be to do in parts. It might be too much hassle with the screen kinda connecting everything.

Either way, great first effort. The casters are a great idea, I wish it would work for me.

And to JSkywalker.... you can do it in that space man. Heat will be your biggest issue, but I have a tall rubbermaid dwc under mine and 650w of light and it is contained in the first 4' of my closet. (I use the top part for the ballasts, fans, and ducting, so good luck fitting everything). The screen should be about 10" off the soil, the plants should only get a few inches above the screen, then gap for light. BAM... a screen full of bud just like Thcofgreen

I bet Thcofgreen would agree though, a screen it quite a bit of hands on work.

This is an insperation. Congratts. Just a couple quick questions. How old were the plants when you put the screen on? How high is the screen off the ground? How tall will your plants get and how high do you have your light off the tops? Ive got about 3.5' hight in my crawl space and this might be a great solution for all my concerns if that is enough height. Thanks in advance
Much Thanks,
Are you going to be growing in soil or hydro? The reason I ask is because if you are doing soil you can keep the base of the plants low by have a wider area of soil; so instead of the roots growing down they grow down and side to side. Over all I think 3 and a half feet should be fine for this type of grow, but keep in mind it also depends on the strain. I'm using an Indica Sativa mix, plants stay pretty short and it's an all around good high.

My plants were clones from my mother so it's hard to say exactly how long they vegged for. They didn't get put in soil until about 5 days after they developed roots, after that they went into a cfl veg chamber for about a month, maybe a little longer in which I topped them a couple of times to keep the height down. After that they did another week veg under the MH. The screen is about 8 inches above the the base of the plants and the tops of the plants are about 8 inches away from the light. Basically I just put the tops of the plants through the screen where I felt it would make most since. during the first and second week of being under the screen you have to move them a bit and make some adjustments.

VERY impressed, THC ! That's a beautiful display of a 2ft x 2ft SCROG !

You did an excellent job with that canopy too !

What size is that wire, 2 inch holes ?

How many grow bags and what size ?

Very nice grow, next time you should let them veg through the screen and train them back through, you will get even nicer yields than you already are. But nice regardless.

Thanks I hope to get better with canopy, it was good but I hope to improve on the next one. The holes are about an inch and a half to two inches. Grow bags are 2 Gallon bags there are 9 of them.

Thanks very much. Harvest will begin in about 10 days, I will be harvest most of the canopy but I will leave a few of the lower buds just because they are maturing at a slower rate. I'll be taking picture of the process so I will keep you updated.

Much thanks sippi,
Feel free to take up as much room as needed.

Thanks man, Next time I'll definitely give that a try.

I love how the SCROG looks. For your first time you did a great job. Mine got too tall so I had to bend them over under the wire and then figure out which holes to go into. LOL. Seems to be working nice with 6 ladies except for the fact that the 1000 watt hps is really making them grow more up in the wiring than I had wanted so early on. Only the first week of flower now. Think I'll be tying them down soon or they'll be hitting the ceiling in no time. Nice job +1 :weed:

so you should "weave" it through over then back under the chicken wire? or just keep it growing along the bottom of the wire until you flower?

thanks in advance

yeah you should weave it at least somewhat, I was just in a bit of a rush so I didn't weave. Luckily I had topped the plants during the veg stage so I didn't have much of a problem. Most of the nodes were about the same length and a few were a bit shorter so the longer ones stretched out towards the edge and the shorter branches grew up through the center.

Ok so I started flushing today. They are getting so close it's almost unbearable. I'll post some new pics in a couple of days.

I'll try to get some up soon. Yeah I might try the 48 or 72 hours of darkness. The only reason I say "might" is because I have limited space right now and I have two other grows under cfl's right now. The plants under the cfl's are running out of vertical space so I am in a rush to get them in the closet.

I know I said I was going to wait a couple of days before posting pics but I couldn't wait, here are some updates as of today.
Check out the monster bud in the center, these were all cones so I feel that once I get into hydro/aero I will be able to duplicate these results for every plant.

Exactly, i hear you on the time part, sometimes theres just no time to veg! But your screen is pretty full anyways:bigjoint:

Indeed. I'm really stuck right now, I have 3 Thai Super Skunk plants (one confirmed female) and six Afghani Hindu Kush (two confirmed female) but they are in separate grow cabinets. I want to put the females back in veg and start taking some clones from both sets, however, neither veg space is large enough to hold the remaining undecided plants. Therefore, I have no where to put the girls back under 24 to revert them back to veg. In addition, the Super Skunk are twice the height as the Kush and therefore will not be able to reside in the same veg box. I would just make another veg chamber but I am low on cash at the moment. I would say I'm in somewhat of a pickle and not sure how to solve this problem. Time is of the essence so I need to figure this out quickly because I don't want the girls to get to far into the flower before switching them back to veg.

why dont you just keep them in flowering and finish them and take some clones from them, this is what I do "flowering clones"
Kills the need for so much space (additional veg space)
