Scrog

Hi there, i am halfway through flower on my first grow at the moment and starting to get proactive for when the time comes in 5ish weeks give or take. Ive got a 1.5mx1.5mx2m tent(5x5 i think in feet) with 2 600w hps, temp/speed exhaust fan and a free standing osculating fan. I germed seeds last week for the idea of vegging and training them abit outside with the idea of geting 4 or 5 of the healthiest(of 8 seedlings) to try ultilize my area with a scrog style. Few questions, is 4 plants enough? How far is reccomended above pot or soil should screen be and when to install it? Im hoping to veg and train outside then depending on height in tent veg under 18/6 for a week or 2 then flip. Cheers guys few photos of this grow, few 12/12 from seed to fill in the area abit. I have read abit on scrog would just like to see someones personal input/regime etc

Giving scrog a shot myself this round

I grew several scrogs over the years. 4 plants is good. Screen can be 12-18” above the top of pots, wherever really, but shorter distances aids water/nutrient transfer. Just remember to clip lighting BEFORE you completely fill the screen. Screen should be fastened securely. The screen acts as a horizontal trellis to separate your flower colas into equal spaces at equal heights, maximizing light absorption efficiency and minimizing the distance from light source to canopy.

Single bucket DWC is fun.

I agree with JayBio420 on all points. I love topping & scrogging as it gives the grower so much control of multiple factors.
I completely fill a 3’x 4’ tent with 4 plants, topped multiple times. I use a heavy duty metal screen. Here’s a few pics to visualize the technique...
