Second grow - 4 breeders, 4 plants - comments and suggestions welcome

super soil grow. This time planning to use Solo cup to 2 gal and then to 5 gal.

super soil is basically Subcool mix with added bio char, neem seed meal, insect frass, and bokashi bran.

Using dechlorinated town-provided well water. It sits out for at least 24-48 hours for chlorine to die off. PH is not tested.

seeds- (fem) - Blimburn>Girl Scout cookies. Expert seeds>Amnesia haze. Jahseeds>The best. Seedsman>Gelat.OG.

Veg tent - 4x2x5 - 250w unbranded cob - 4” ac infinity fan, humidifier, dehumidifier, oscillating tower fan. Inkbird humidity and heat controllers.

Flower tent - 4x4x6.5 - 250w phlizon blurple, 200w phlizon blurple, 250w hollandstar cob. - - 4” ac infinity fan, humidifier, dehumidifier, oscillating tower fan (top of canopy), fixed standing fan (bottom of canopy) Inkbird humidity and heat controllers. 4x16” phresh filter.

Jan 12 - 4 seeds placed in Jiffy pellets - first grow from seed. Some apprehension about doing things right. Just did my best not to over think things for the first few days. “If they don’t pop, I have plenty more seeds to use”

Jan 16 - 3 of 4 have sprouted. Time for all 4 to go into solo cups. Amnesia haze still hasn’t popped, but will wait a few more days and see what happens.

Jan 19 - amnesia haze has popped now as well. 4/4 germination rate and no damping. Pretty good for a first seed run!

jan 21 - seedlings are getting leggy. Moved the light from 30” down to 24” and corrected that. No more stretching and leaves start to rapidly grow.

Jan 27 - transplanted to 2g pots with some mico sprinkled in the root zone. The girls were already very large for the solo cups. Amnesia haze is a couple days behind, due to popping late. gelat.og is a day behalf due to a Stuck seed shell for the first couple days of life.

Jan 30 - Looking healthy and happy. Didn’t slow down from the transplant from what I can tell.

Feb 2 in the wee hours was topping day

Feb 9- After topping the largest fans explored with growth and overshadowed all lower nodes, so they were removed to allow light into the canopy.

Feb 12 LST is begun. Plant canopy is evening nicely.

Feb 15 - everything is topped a second time, except a couple low branches that need to rise to meet the canopy.

Looking good, quite a lot of wattage in the flower tent

Lots of wattage for now but moving to 480w of 3000k quantum boards that will hopefully arrive within the next few weeks. I wasn’t happy with the light penetration I was getting with the phlizon lights.

Feb 17 - the ladies need more room - pot wise, as well as tent footprint. The 4x2 just isn’t enough space as I am looking to widen these quite a bit more to fill the 4x4. 5 gal pots will not fit with my makeshift tray. I am not watering to any real amount of runoff, so I may remove the tray and just use the tent liner.

Soon the flower tent will have some room for the new girls. Just turned the lights off for the last time, for my first run ever. Here is a small peek into that grow. Pretty happy with the results so far! Blueberry grape and acupolco gold from local clones. Hopefully I can do a decent dry and cure as these turned out pretty nice, I think! Of course, there will always be room for improvement.

Feb 20 - into the 5 gal pots. Few more days left drying the previous run and then into the flower tent for a bit more veg time and a lot of LST. Looking good so far.

On another note - pretty happy with the results of my first crop so far. This is a couple sample after a wet trimming. Ended up with 2110g after the wet trim, of tops. 1lb of trim and bottom nugs went into the freezer as well. If scissor hash quality is any indicator, these girls will bring some fun to the world.

Feb 23 - flower tent had vacancy and welcomed these new tenants. Used enzyme komplete and h2o2 to wipe down all surfaces for a nice clean (hopefully) transition. Girls are now getting 500w of cobs. Quantum boards are scheduled to arrive Thursday.

Was able to begin LST again now that I have some room. Will have to adjust timing for next time and pop my seeds a bit further into flower. Had an oops and split the highest top node on the GSC applying a bit too much bend. Have it cinched back up with plant wire for a temp hold. I believe the branch will recover but we will tell with time. I think I am in for a fun time in the 4x4, regardless!

Feb 24 - everything has reoriented toward the lights. Should have a nice full tent with these ladies.

Feb 28 - Quantum boards arrived.

Mar 2 - Looking nice and warm in the flower tent. Seems the 3000k quantum boards are more powerful than I thought. Started to see a bit of light stress on upper leaves so I moved them up and turned them down to 60% or so power. Node spacing seems to be tightening up with this spectrum. Will be time to flip soon, as the tent is starting to look fuller now, but planning to veg a bit more yet. Clockwise from top left - Amnesia Haze, The Best, Gelat.OG, GSC.
