So first of all I tried clicking on the security forums and it says i dont have access or im locked out or something i dunno. either way, my questions still need answers.

I got a fairly large set-up. I got lots of friends who i hope don't know. either way, I dont want any surprises when i get home, and if i am robbed, i wanna know whose face to pound into.

Anyone have a security system? any advice? ive been looking at a bunch of options and i have found a few that seem interesting in the 200-400 dollar price range.

ive seen 24 lapse tapes, dvr connections, wireless cameras, color, black and white, zoom, pan tilt and bla bla bla. anyone got some advice before i got shopping and spend lots of cash on something?

I am in the low voltage and security business i could lead you in the right way. It all comes down to how much you want to spend and how much you are protecting, the cool thing it would only be a one time investment. I could point you in direction of a few websites.

Any security cams that hook up to a cpu are great you can get software that lets you access them through a web server, you can put digital sensors in any area and you can set the software to notify you by e-mail,record when the sensor goes off or take pictures when the sensor is set off.And a dog or 2.I use a program called Evo Cam.It's fairly easy to use,the cams is what cost.
