Seed development start of week 7

So I’m in my first commercial run, I’ve grown for a couple years prior but this issue is entirely new to me. I know we had a herm out due to stress obviously. But, we have scattered seeds in the top colas across a handful of one specific strain in a room of three strains.
Now I’m assuming that because I noticed seeds and not nanners, the damage is already done.
My question is, should I run them to wk 9 as planned anyway? None of the strains in the room are completely ready and honestly all need to harvest at once due to the buildings constraints.
Will running them longer decrease thc and terps due to seed production from where they are at, or will it allow for them to stack a bit more on before chop?

the room has 316 plants. I’ve found seed in like 10 after VIGOROUSLY checking the entire room today. Like I said, I know the damage is done. I know pollen is in there. And I know the room will need a deep clean. I wasn’t able to find any nanners so I’m guessing they’re buried in the bud on one of the plants.

what I’m looking for specifically is advice from anyone who has done this before me.

This has been a hard run for these girls. Ac went down mid run in one of the hottest summers we have ever had, and that definitely harmed them for sure. I know it’s stress. I just want advice on what to do moving forward. After scoping trich’s today on all three strains, I would say about 50% of trichs are cloudy across all samples of each strain, but I know it’s definitely on the early side.

we have been pressed hard on money due to the permit side of things have pushing our deadline back 4x longer than we anticipated. So I really need the best from this run we can possibly salvage.

Any advice will happily be fielded here. I just wanted to put this out to those with more experience. August 1st starts wk7 for us.

Thanks all.

As far as terp/thc loss, just get them tested so you can advertise true numbers. Who’s to say there’s a loss? Breeder advertise results from prized pheno’s & sell packs off it.
Honesty goes a long way.

If their are plants that Hermed on you and have sacs I would remove them. As the pollen from those will produce hermie seeds.

If you have plants with “nanners” that’s female pollen and would produce feminine seeds. I would worry more about hermies.

At week 7 that’s a tough choice mane.
I just finished a run and had a strain from seed push out a SHIT load of nanners. I let everything finish (6) plants in my 4x4 and surprisingly I have found but 2 seeds despite the crazy amount of nanners that came out of this one plant.

You have a large scale 300+ plants. You could remove the ones that you fear are the most troubling. But I wouldn’t scrap it all. You are going to have good yields without seeds for sure.

This is a solid thought. I definitely considered just scrapping the small handful. I haven’t seen any male naughty bits yet but as soon as I do I’m scrapping the plant for sure.

Absolutely man. I’ll be 100% transparent because this shit does happen. But still, it’s just sad lol. I’m pretty bummed.

Man it takes less than zero effort to not be an asshole. I know what I would do in a tent. But as I said it’s my first run at scale. We all start somewhere. No need for this. Just scroll on.
You thought I was being an asshole? I asked a legitimate question. Do your damn homework.

Going to an internet forum after the fact is a piss poor business plan.

I have some advice. Get an iron at Walmart for the ruffled feathers.

Rather the answers are known to the op or not is irrelevant. Sometimes people want to hear others ideas, thoughts, opinions about something they are not 100% sure on.
We have all been unsure about the way something is going in our garden at some point. Even if we know the answers, it’s natural to want to hear others.
It’s posts like this that create a toxic environment on these forums. Even me writing this is giving it the attention it doesnt deserve. I don’t get it. If you don’t have something insightful (in a positive way) or helpful than why post at all on the topic you’re looking at? Just my 2cents.

You're being ridiculous. I said nothing wrong. It wasn't toxic until that clown called me an asshole yet you chose to target me. Why is that?

As for this so called toxic environment I don't see it. This isn't adult daycare. There are plenty of other threads that actually are toxic with people talking about others mothers and referencing male genitalia. Pages and pages of insults. You're not over on those threads. You choose to play mediator in this thread and attempt to admonish me over nothing. What's your game? Why did you feel the need to interject yourself into something that had absolutely nothing to do with you?

Far from an expert i agree with Cali on nanners. Male flowers shoot pollen in bursts, nanners need contact to fertilize a calyx. I’d go longer.

Obviously it’s not a daycare.
Id categorize this website as a forum site where people can communicate and its generally surrounding the culture of cannabis and a part of that would be growing hence the reason for us being on a thread under”plant problems.”
You saying you said nothing wrong is only true to the readers opinion. (Yourself) (You)

Now comes my opinion Xtsho.

This isn’t about what’s right and wrong.
It’s about responding with something helpful or supportive at least. Even criticism can be conveyed in a tactful, respectful way.

I can’t help but think the “culture” on this website would be a better place if we used our time being positive, encouraging, informative, respectful, helpful etc.

In my opinion, your input was none of those.
But hey! It’s not a daycare! Right? I don't have all the answers.. I'm just growing commercially. Thanks Xtsho! I’m heading to Walmart to find an iron for those ruffle feathers. :eyesmoke:

@Goldblooded good luck on your situation.
@xtsho have a wonderful day.
