howdy fellow growers im after a little info today I've started the process of germinating five incredible bulk seeds. Now my question is how long shall i leave them in the wet moist tissue as this is the method I've followed. shall i leave them in the tissue till the tap root shows then thinking to stick them in root it block in a heated propagator till them have there fist set of leaves.

Yep, thats how I do it, but I put that moist paper towel in a small ziplock bag and blow some air in it before sealing it. I dunno if it does anything but success is hard to argue with

Yeah dont overcomplicate things, get a glass of water, soak the seeds for no more than 24 hours, then put them in the moist soil about 1/4-1/2 inch no more. Keep it simple and enjoy 100% germination. Ive done this for 20 years, only had 1 seed out of thousands that didnt germinate.

Root root plugs or other direct to medium sowing will yield the best a fastest results.

the cool thing is the plant loves to grow so that’s why paper towels / soaks methods work.
The seed is smart enough to know up from down. gravity helps. Just put her in about 1/4 inch keep her moist snd warm.

sorry can’t help on your direct question

Ask yourself if the seed sees a difference between damp warm soil, or a tissue. Either way will work
very true thank you im noob at this and so much mixed info in the net.

went with the two plates method as had no ziplock bags at the time. these where you wrap them up into a square moisten tisse then into ziplock bag?

Next time skip the pre-germination step. I just planted 3 seeds and they all sprouted direct in coco in less than 24 hours. Keep them at around 80 degrees 24/7 and they sprout quick. Here is a good guide with no bs (bro-science) https://www.mandalaseeds.com/Guides/Germination-Guide
ah ok that's interesting thanks for that info man. the net is just so confusing as so much mixed information ins ridiculous.

Yeah, the reason why you put it in water or a moist towel is to avoid the time wasted if the seed is in fact non viable. If it isnt and you just plonk it into the soil it just wont come above the soil.

I just put the seeds in a labelled cup with water so i know the genetic - Then usually a day or two later you will see the root popping out, take it out carefully and drop it into a 3mm deep hole and cover it lightly. Keep it simple

Yeah, can also just soak it and then put it in the soil! Thing with waiting for the tap root to come out is you can possibly damage it when putting it in the hole.. Other issue is sometimes the seed drops upside down and then you have another issue lol
