Seed germination question

Hello, Five days ago I started 9 Femed Jack Flash #5's, from seed, from Sensei seeds.
6 sprouted in paper towel> moved to rapid rooter plugs> 4 have emerged so far and are doing well. I have the remaining 3 seeds still in paper towel over a low heat source.
Is this usual that this many sprout? and how long should I wait for the rest to sprout?
Is there any last chance thing I can do to make these buggers pop? Like prying the seed open in the eleventh hour. Hey I will do this but don't want to get drastic before it's time to. I gave them all from the get go a small amount of Hygrozyme, Liquid Karma, superthrive, silica, Mykos WP, RO water ph'd. The 4 that have emerged are now on a flood and drain table in 6" coco pots with 50/50 coco perlite and I added a bit of Maxi Crop and more Mykos.
PPM for these 4 is 160 PPM.
Dang I wanted ALL these seeds to flourish. Please is there anything I'm doing wrong?
Thanks for any tips.

if they dont sprout within 10 days they probably wont. all i do is wet paper towel in a dark container in the cupboard.

if most germed then there is nothing you did wrong. you can try to pry the beans open if they look like they are trying to open. but fact is. some germ some dont its genetics

I did the water in a bowl method and put my seeds into it and had taproots already showing in 24 hours, by 48 hours they all had taproots. Some times you should leave your seeds to dry longer because they aren't always fully dried. I would wait till around day 10 but change the water out every day and rub the seeds with your fingers gently to make sure they are clean. If day 10 has come and they haven't cracked you can do it by hand and take the inside out of the shell and plant them.

Thanks! I have five day to go then. I have had better luck before and just paper toweled them with tap water. BTW the rapid rooters hold water like crazy. I don't like his and will in the future plant seeds directly into coco.

Five days in with my first real connoisseur dutch seeds and I already wish i had planted the free seeds they included. 10 Big Bud. But I don't waaant BB! I waant a sativa pheno mother from a Jack Herrer hybrid. Soooo I can be so stoned that I stop this medical condition I have of winning. Grin and thanks!

Yea I soaked them too before the paper towel. And yes the four I have now going popped as fast as yours. About drying the seeds more. You mean from an overseas dealer that the seed might be too fresh? Ok for future reference, thx. I'll wait another 5 days and then open the pups up.. hope the Mykos didn't do damage as the three in question seeds got fuzzy within an hour of application. I did remove this fuzz with my fingers. But Mykos is good fuzz.. shit I'm impatient and over thinking it. Thanks though.

Feel Free to check out my journal. there's a link to it in my sig. For me I prefer the water in a bowl method with no paper towel

If your seeds have not cracked after 4 or 5 days in paper towel, you could try abrasion and fridge. I put newer beans in the fridge overnight (NOT FREEZER) this simulates winter. When I take them out, I rub them gently with a medium grain sandpaper (this simulates going through an annimals digestive tract). Then drop into a glass of water. If a taproot doesnt appear after 3 days, it is unlikely to. Peace W

For better germination rate i take a small piece of sandpaper roll into a tube, rough side on the inside. Place the seeds into the tube and shake for 2 minutes. The microscratches help the seeds retain more moisture.

if i were u i would stop the paper towel method and just plant the seeds in moist soil, keep it warm and covered with saran wrap or a plastic dome to keep the humidity in. i think you'll get better results.

I have to agree with you on that one because the water might be to cold causing them to think its still winter time. If he has a heat mat he could find a way to use it indirectly though.

Yes I remember doing the fridge thing with vegetable seed. I'll try that, with these. Thanks! As of today all six of the sprouted seeds have emerged to the light ( I would like the other three too). My plan is to look for a strong sativa Mother. I will veg these for a month or so and then put in 12/12, in a 4x4 tent under a 600 HPS, ebb/flo with full line House and Garden nutes. I know clones work better in SCROG but will try with these from seed, watching and seeing which one grows best. Do you think 6 plants will fill out a 4x4 SCROG? Am I correct in thinking that plants from seed will stretch more in 12/12 than clones?
