I came across a mail and wanted to try seed production. I pollinated my females ( the whole plant ) 5 weeks into flower. I have seed thats peeling out of the cylax but is very pale and not looking to viable, with 4 days of flower left I am wondering if I have pollinated to early. these seed will be a good cross so if I did pollonate to early will the seed be viable if I let the plant go untill it wilts?

anyone wanna helpme out... i just googling all the topic... but have to know about seed production...

I plan on putting 1 male and 1 female in a separate room for her to make seeds. If they are just near each other will she create a lot of seeds or do i have to do this a certain way? also do i add fertilizer just like i would if they were flowering, or do i need a different fertilizer for this purpose?

jsut grow the plant like u normaly would. take a little pollen and pollinate the branch or branches you want to be pollinated. that simple. makeing your own seeds is the shit.

Hey Fdd ,

How long can your store the male pollen sacks in the jars ?

if i stored them now ,

could i use the pollen on one of my outdoor plants towards the end of the year ?

hey if u growing in a small one bedroom apartment, where would keep the males..?
im sure u figured sumwhere to put them by now.. but if u didnt. u can put the male(s) in a lil cardboard box... males dont need much light when theyre flowering. i have 2 males in a cardboard box with a CFL on top. and thats working fine.

i just would like to say that this site has so much helpfull info
i've read in other threads that a female that goes hermie and fertilises itself will produce possible hermies. a female that was induced (say sts method) to produce male flowers and fertilises itself wont pass that on because it dont have that mutation. what i"m wondering is

1 if i have feminised seeds of a good strain that i'd like to try and experiment in breeding ,sts them and get feminised seed, can i use the polen from the F>m on the seeds from the original batch the reversal created and still be feminised?

2 do i have to just wait and hope that it germinates a male from those reversed seedsfrom the original batch? i dont want to inbreed my line or use a hermies , how can i get i male with from fem seeds without doing it?

Do the males get the rings at the base of a branch or do the females get the rings at the base of the branch?

A female from regular seed stock:

If you pick all the top buds off when they are ripe and just leave a few on the bottom of the plant that wasn't ripe and let it go will it eventually hermie? And then those seeds would be feminized?

i've had them mature as early as 4 weeks. i have some on the vine right now that was seeded 5 weeks ago but the seeds are still green. looks like they need at least another week. i take a sample seed from the bottom. peel off the pod covering and see how it looks. it should be big brown and hard.
Yeah like when I take a shit! Lol 

I have question that I haven't been able to find any info on thus far.
I pollinated an LA Haze female with 4 males (That was the ratio of a five pack of seeds). The problem is late into flowering my female showed signs of powdery mildew. I know that mildew is systemic but does that mean the 200 seeds I harvested have mildew already?

I look at this guide all of the time. I havent nutted up and made my own seeds yet though. I have a couple questions about it if anyone wants to help me get more comfortable with the idea of growing out a male.
1. So what is the optimal time in the females life to be pollinated?
2. Is it possible to pollinate several budsites of a plant then leave other budsites to remain somewhat unseeded?
3. Are other females in the room at high risk of becoming seeded if u use the paintbrush on a different plant?
4 Are Future grows at risk of being seeded?
who wants +rep?
