Seed Shortage?

So I usually order a big seed order every Spring from Attitude Seed Bank but looking at their site now, there is a LOT of stuff out of stock. I just looked at the JBC site I saw here and they have one page only out of 6 pages of feminized seeds in stock. Whats the deal with seeds??? Is this a covid thing? Any info on when we can expect banks to be stocked again? I typically do two full grow runs over the winter and order more seeds in the Spring as my patients like the variety. I really don’t have the set up anymore to keep mothers like I used to but I am going to have to figure something out if seeds are not going to be available. Anyone have any info on what to expect from the seed banks? I did message Attitude but haven’t heard back from them yet. Thanks!

I’ve been using dcse for my last 2 seed orders and when I checked the other day they seemed to have a decent amount in stock but with everyone else running short idk how long their supplies are lasting.

Bunch of various breeders had their places raided overseas in Europe and could be the reason you see a bunch missing on a a lot of sites.

Looks like I'm going to have a ton of seeds from my outdoor... any tips on best way to prep and store them?
I clean them and put them in a Tupperware container with a gasket and portable dehumidifier in it. When dry store in fridge or freezer in a jar or baggie. Key is to keep them away from moisture. For smaller amounts I uses these, each vial has a gasket to keep moisture out as they are meant to be refrigerated.

This is awful! I had no idea this is happening. I had one shipment out of MANY get caught at customs, they pulled the seeds out of the coffee mug and the note said “enjoy your coffee” I just took a couple of pictures and sent it to Attitude and they promptly replaced it but this is something totally different. I saw a thread going on American seed companies, I’m going to have a look around there and maybe order now so I have them for next year in case things get worse. I simply don’t have the room to mother all summer plus I am having serious health issue’s and don’t need the extra work. Thanks for the info. Attitude did get back to me and wanted to know which strains specifically, well Pretty much every seed I have ordered in the past all feminized are out of stock so its a LOT of different breaders.

I have a pretty good supply of regular seeds. I’m down to a handful of loyal patients so only do 2 full grows a year, my flower room holds 15 comfortably 18 crowded. Its such a crap shot growing non feminized seeds as I know I need x amount of each strain. Hubby’s music gear has taken over some of my grow space and I only have room to veg out the max for flower room and even if 1/3 turn out male in each run, that means I would have to add a third run and hope I get enough of the right strains lol. This was SO much easier when i was growing more and had my mothers!
