Seed vs clone

i have two plants both still in veg but i'm about to cycle into flower. Now both of these plants were clones, is their any disadvantages to clones? Or any advantages that seeds give? Just looking for general info. Thanks in advance

Seeds don't need to be watered.EVER.

In my experience, clones have always yielded a little less than 'from-seed' grows. I also like the uniformity/structure of seed plants; it's much easier to top for two or four or eight colas.

An advantage for clones is that they're already mature once they're rooted, unlike seeds where you have to wait a few weeks for maturity. If you like to lst rather than top, clones can be manipulated immediately after rooting -- there's no stiff little christmas tree stage like with seedlings.

unless you have a plant you really like or are growing sea of green, seed is better for me. you can get feminized seed if you don't have enough space.

when you compare it to cloning it's not that much slower. cloning can take 3 weeks just to root depending on the strain.

clones, cons.
you never truly know what you have ... some people will slap a flavor of the month name on any clone and tell you it is what you want it to be.. could be months and months till you find out you were lied to, if you ever know..
bugs.. a lot of times clones are the gift that keep on giving, meaning they often come infected, infested, and other 'ed words, with all sorts of shit.. bringing them into a garden can be lethal..
seeds, cons.. you have to pheno hunt often times to find that keeper that someone else has already done that work for when you get clones..

Clones are faster than seedlings, if that matters. A typical clone of 6-8 inches tall takes about 10 days to root and be ready for dirt. A seedling takes around 3 weeks to reach that height. Also, clones have stronger stems than seedlings and are less of a worry about falling over. In my perpetual grow I rely on clones for about 80% of my stock with seedlings and re-grows splitting the other 20%. For the last year around 75% of my finishing plants are generations of a Blueberry Gum (G13 Labs) freebie from Attitude. I clone the clones and once in a while buy a couple more BG seeds just to vigorize my line. My success would not have been possible without an ongoing cloning process. Works for me!
