seedlings are weak

so i started some bagweed seeds about a week ago and they are looking okay but the seedlings look like they are stretching and not getting thick. im using 2 90 watt incandescent lights about a foot away.????? i need help plz

drop the lights to about 5 inches away, a foots too far for sure tho with anything but a HID setup. u got a fan on them? that will help strengthen the stems too, but bagseeds a scary thing to use tho, risk of hemapherdite already in the gentics. FIRST!

and put a small fan on them, will help strengthen the stalks..

yea put light cloer so they wont stretch and fan if there to strech hold them up with a tooth pic or something good luck bro

DO NOT USE INCANDESCENTS. out of the 1000 lumens each bulb emits, the plants can only absorb about 20% because of their color spectrum. id say if its too late, kill them and start over with spiral bulbs (cfl) and keep them about 5 inches away. use as many cfl's as possible. more light=better growth.

okay kool. thx guys and what kind wattage of cfls and how many? i use 5600k for veg right?
