seedlings mysterliously dying?? HELP!

I have 20 easy ryder seedlings that are a week old. 10 of which are in 2 gal grow bags with FFOF, the other 10 are in 16oz solo cups. I have them 30" from my 600W HPS. Temps are a constant 79F and I have a fan blowing on them. I've been watering every couple days or so whenever the soil 2" deep around the stem gets dry.

For the most part the seedlings are looking very healthy.. But some are really small compared to the others and are starting to droop/wilt.. Idk what it could be. Here's some pics:

Also, idk if its a problem or not, but I didn't fill the 2gal grow bags all the way full.. They vary from having 2-3" of empty space. Is that ok? Here's a pic to get an idea of how full they are:

Thanks in advance!

Don't have the fan blow directly on them.. matter of fact don't even use the fan. You won't need a fan until they get much bigger.
Your space is fine.
What soil are you using?

Make sure you don't feed them nutrients for a good 2-4 weeks, pending on what kind of soil you are using.

If the soil has slow release nutrients, you will be fine for 4 weeks.

If it is a standard potting soil/compost, you want to feed after 2 weeks

Foliar feeding is another great way to start seedlings

Easy on the light and fan, as too much at such an early stage can burn and/or stunt growth!

Hope this helps!!! +rep??? :)

FYI, a 600 watt HPS used on seedlings is best when raised 48" above plant height until they become established and show good signs of growth, then you can start moving it in closer, say 6" every couple days til you are 1) Down to 24" from plant height if your light is not enclosed/cooled and you are just using a fan to disperse heat, 2) Down to 12" from plant height if you cool your hoods with a blower/vortex fan.
