Seeds from hermie stretch alot and grow slowly?

I wanted to grow these as an experiment just to see if i could get any bud off them or if they grow hermi themselves etc. Problem is, i can't even get them to grow, they germinate with such vigour they completely sprout out of the seed while still in the paper towel but that is where the vigour seems to stop. Once i plant them they are stretching ALOT even in a good sunny position, and barely want to grow the first set of true leaves.

I should also mention these seeds came from an indoor grow with hlg led, not sure if that could be the reason, i am trying to grow them outdoors this time. The strain was dinachem, and in flower it had the strongest cat urine smell that really smelt foul but i just wanted to see if the hermi seeds would have the cat piss too.

If you’re in the northern hemisphere, it could be they’re stretchy because the light period is short and getting shorter. You don’t say if they’re autos or photos. Try putting some under lights and see if they still stretch.

If youre dedicated to seeing this through, just bury the stem when you transplant to a larger pot. The initial seedling stretch can be a pain in the ass.

They have come good now. The stretch was so long i had to completely plant them at almost the bottom of a 8" tall pot and they still looked stretch, but now it's all leveled out nicely with thickening stems. I got two phenos complete opposite of eachother. One is growing very lanky with one side of the new leaves all twisted looking, the other is a perfect specimen growing with fat maple leaf, leaves. Going to put up pics later.

i always end up keeping the twisted leaf phenos of dinachem lets see which one will work better for you

These plants are the true definition of "weed" they are growing crazy tall and vigorously with 0 love. They already grew 3ft tall and they are going to end up being way too tall by flower so i bent them completely over. Thinking of cutting them back and just re vegging cause i still got plenty of time.

In the pic they look short but where you see the head is about almost 3ft from the pot. In flower the original dinachem mother was the tallest out of the other two strains i grew, but these seeds from her are on another level.
