Seelings into 1000w hps?

hey everyone i have 12 seedlings under a neon light there are coming on 3 weeks old they are very healthy looking bigger and bigger everyday. I am just wondering once i reach my 3 weeks seedlings if i can put them under my 1000w hps and change there time schedule to 12´12 and start to flower? i have yet to know the sex on the seedlings planning on waiting intil i flower. any feedback is appreciated thank you

yes, you can do this when every you want to, if they are very young just keep the light off them a little bit so its not to strong, but i dont see a problem with it.

I always change to 12/12 after 3 weeks veg, you can switch anytime even from seed.

alright thank you and keeping my hps about 2 feet away for starting. also i am gonna start giving my seedlings food once i transfer them to 12 12. was thinking of miracle grow ultra bloom for the reason is that money is short. i know there is chemicals in it but i was going to do a 3 week flush to be safe. does any1 see a problem with this?

plus my soil i am using is 18.10.10. im suppost to transfer to 10.20.20 for flower if i am correct but i cant seem to find any at a local hardware shop only seeing things like 14.14.14 08.14.08. but i did see plant food at like 15.30.30 would that work if i keept using my same soil or should i just keep searching for a soil at 10.20.20 thank you

I use my 1k from the start, I do set it at fifty percent and keep it 30 inches above until they are the size of a baskeball, than I drop her and change to 12/12 As soon as I see the first buds I put the light to 100 percent, works every time.

oh unfortunately my ballast only has off or on but thanks for the help. do you know any answers to the questions i just asked above Chrishydro? that seems to be the only thing i am stuck at

I would set your light to 20/4 and let them veg for a couple more weeks. Before I had my components together
I would often use my 1000W HPS light for veg and flowering. It works great.

Point is your plants are small now and setting them to 12/12 soon will guarantee a small yield. That's why I
suggested letting them veg and get bigger before you switch to 12/12. Sure, even small plants will grow during
flowering, but the bigger the plant going into 12/12 the more yield you will get.

So consider all the variables and keep us posted.

so after a 3 week veg than to flower what should i be looking at 1 oz per plant? rather if i vegged for 5 weeks looking at 2 ozs or more?

3 week veg from seedling will give me how much yeild compare to if i would veg for 5 weeks? thank you
