Just wanted to post in here to maybe get some more feedback on my first grow. We're using 250 true watts for 3 girls. The Sensi Star is entering week 5 of flower and the Northern Lights are just beginning to flower. Fox Farm soil, Botanicare Pro soil nutes with Humboldt SnowStorm and BigBud, FlorvaNova, some worm fungus stuff, cal-mag, and molasses. im probably leaving some out. Like it said, its the first grow. could always use criticism. tent is 2x4x5'8

Theres an intake up top and a little one that would ideally cool the bulbs a little. (not sure if this works..) but we have another fan on the way. The sensi is getting the most light as she is a nice bush and the NL are 3-4 week old semi-trained clones. His is how it sits now. The sensi was a clone from a friend and yes....Incredible bud. Im excited to say the least! Nirvana and Bud Candy are also in the micro mix. My only problem right now are these little 'rust' spots on the leaves. I cant find the deficiency for it so im thinking it might be some buildup in the soil? its only on my older leaves. it'll be flushed in the next day or two. on to the pics

Well I was waiting for the lights to come on to get a look at them waking up. I looked at the northern lights first and found 15-20 microscopic white or brown bugs congregating on leaf tips. Any idea what these are? There were on both northern lights plants. couldnt find any on the sensi. After the lights were on for a half hour, I wasnt able to find the bugs anymore...so maybe they only come out in the the dark? Ill be doing some bible reading but was hoping one of you had a clue. anyway, they leaves have no damage and northern lights looks healthy. Sensi looks better every day. starting to fatten up :) 100_0239.jpg100_0233.jpg100_0237.jpg

Lovin it man everything is looking good except for your little problem there. I gave up on mine and just decided that I'll start flushing for the next two weeks and then harvest. We will be smoking our own home grown here soon! :leaf:

After knowing what the Sensi already can be, Im not sure if Northern lights will surpass it. Time will tell though. ill be smoking their mother's product here in the next month. This summer will just be epic.

I am jealous of the smoke you will have come the start of summer. I'm gonna hopefully get some name seeds for my grow this summer, sensi is definitely a strong candidate.

or somethin! lolz

so I have spider mites I think and Im tempted to throw it everything out...Im practically tripping balls after all I've read on them. Lol i dont want this shit in my garden! I have neem oil but it doesnt kill the eggs. Im sketched to do any spraying on Sensi anyway (even though she doesnt APPEAR to be infested.) Ive read and read on like 4 forums and I feel at a loss. help me out?

A little advice for you. Look up Mildew Cure by Safergro. It will help you handle the mite and any possible pm issues that might arrise and you can literally spray it up to the day you harvest. Absolutely have never had it burn any of my plants. It will have a slight garlic smell for a short bit but it goes completely away. Be sure to use a good wetting agent such as coco wet, wet betty, etc. Total coverage is vital, as the one you miss may be the one to re infest your grow area. If you were in the earlier stages of flower or in veg I would say to try out organocide or pest out by safergro. I always use ladybugs as well for they will aid in the irradication of these nasty pests. One more thing I want to point out about all the products I listed, they are all organic food grade material. They will not poison your pot or you and will be nearly impossible for mites to build a tolerance to. Good luck and I hope this helps!

Shit man, spider mites are no fun. My buddy got them mites on their northern lights when they were in veg. She used the neem oil for a minute and it got rid of them for her since we haven't seen any signs in a couple months now. I don't think that you should toss it out, at least not so fast. My humble opinion is to try some sort of spray, whether it is neem oil or might wash, whatever you prefer, and if those pesky mites don't go anywhere then toss it, but you gotta at least try to save it right?

Side note, when I thought I had mites I got myself some mighty wash, guy at the hydro store recommended it over neem oil and he said you could use it up to harvest, or pretty close to harvest, so maybe try that if you can? Good luck man, hope those pesky things don't end up forcing you to toss it.

T nuts, just give it a little bit of time for the mites to go away, its gonna be a minimum of at least like a week. Uve got to think, you aren't killing the eggs, you are killing the bugs which lay the eggs. So you have to kill all those once they hatch, so no more eggs can be layed.u get what im saying? definately don't give up tho. they aren't going to do that much damage in such a small amount of time.
