Your not even close. If u pick a bud off u will be disappointed. U got weeks to go. Hairs need to recede in the bud. U will have a hair joint which taste bad BTW.

My wife cringes everytime I start talking about the plants. If i want to be left alone all i need to do is start talking about PPFD , DLI, or runoff Ph and she ghosts me. Thanks RIU! Its a fun hobby for sure, I'm in a similar situation as I'm hiding my grow and my wife has no idea a plant is hiding in my laundry room. It's great to talk to fellow growers ! You sound like you are on the right track with your soil and plans to make your own homeade soil, I'm also moving in a similar direction.

I'll send a link to a grower that tested 5 different soils with lettuce. The lettuce that was grown in FFOF did not grow well. His comment was " I dont know that Fox Farm is putting in their soil." The lettuce in other soils looked fine.....

The plants in his homeade soil look amazing !

Here is a shot of my hidden (locking) cabinet. I'm growing Northern Lights (low odor strain) and am using a carbon filter. It gets a little scary late flower, but the buds really dont start to stink until after they've cured... Luckily, they go in Mason jars at that point and the odor is contained.

Just starting flower in this pic (current grow)

I know right pretty stupid of me but the first three years it was mostly just fungus gnats then last year all kind of bugs so ya I'm fucking done with that shit lol!

I was just high and hopeful. I was saying last week i figured 3 weeks or so after looking at the trichs, 2/3 of em are cloudy on the buds. The sugar leaves have alot of amber. Either way i never said i was harvesting her yet. Of course ill wait to harvest the plant till shes done. Now the bud im gonna cut off for Christmas i guarantee will not be disappointing for the reason that im almost outta smoke:o. I can sacrifice a christmas joint rather than do without. I had to harvest 1 of these weeks early last summer because of PM starting to attack a couple branches and i couldnt risk losing the room to it. It was still decent tasting and a good , if a little speedy high. I have 2 more plants flowering. I know it aint done but no weed for Christmas be a worse tragedy than cutting a small bit early . I have wax thatll get ME by till shes done, but i aint smoking up all my wax with wifes bumming family i see once a year.lol. Fkrs are lucky i dont roll em some leaves:D. Yall have a great Christmas! I'll post when the chop happens.

Focus less on trichome color and more on overall plant and how the pistils look. That plant still has a ton of white pistils. Might not be just 3 weeks...

Does your wife not wonder where the weed comes from? I couldnt stand having to hide my grow. Hell i hang in the growspace so much its become my mancave. I got soil bags, nute bottles and alot of drop cords etc. I talked my wife into the growing with a promise of great, cheap to grow weed. Must you lie to your wife? Mine woulda destroyed it all if she caught me lying. Lying is a buzzkill. I have heard of fungus gnat issues with FFOF but a layer of sand on top will fix that. I really havent had any issues with it myself. Ive even started some plants directly in straight FFOF and never burned one yet. I just dont like paying the $$ when i still have to add stuff anyways. Lettuce isnt really the greatest comparison to weed. But use what works for you. Im ready to try coco as well as super soil. I want to learn as many styles as i can. Good luck!

Whatever it is, it is. It'll be done when its done. I have been basing things off how well its been progressing and guesstimating. These gg autos seem to finish fast once they decide to. So its a wait and see, week by week thing. I have been adding just enough water to keep her going. As fast as things are changing i am hopeful about 3 weeks. Had one last time that looked less ready than this 1 and she roared to finish in 2 weeks. Crazy ass phenos all different . But im not sitting here fondling my fiskars or anything. LOL.

Well i found out that the ugly plant had a manganese deficency. She had all the signs. Since they are all in same soil getting the same nutes i figured ph induced lockout was probably the problem. I flushed her with 6.5 water,waited a couple days and gave her a compost tea and a cap of tiger bloom ph'd to 6.5. It worked. She perked up and is drinking again. Anybody reading this that has a similar problem, its worth a try. Sounds obvious and usually the Mychorrizae self adjust the Ph, but there it is. This plant was dying. Never take anything for granted. I shoulda noticed it sooner.

I know, I know. There will be a bunch of people coming in to say how well it works for them (probably on the west coast) but I'm standing firm. I've been through two different bags of FFOF and it was poison to my plants... I moved to happy frog and all my problems dissapeared... Something aint right with FFOF on the east coast..

Screen it - then you will see. Apparently regional differences in batches.
Found nails / burnt twigs / McNugget - assorted surprises.

i hadn't thought of screening but makes alot of sense. I bust it all up with my hands but im sure a ton of stuff gets by. Mcnuggets? Really? lol bet that was crazy. Ocean,forest, and fast food apparantly.

Hey i know its off topic, but I did start this thread.....i am ordering from North Atlantic. I want to stay with autos. Im liking Mephistos 3 bears OG. I want an indica dominant stable strain. Anybody here ever grow this strain? I have read a few posts where people trash Mephisto strains but most are overwhelmingly positive. Tell me what ya know?

This GG is coming along. I cut off this lower top and laid it on the router box heatsink overnight. Im almost out except this. It smoked better than i thought. It still had a good taste not horrible hay like i expect from quick dry weed. I think 2 more weeks if keeps progressing like this Geesh, i must be high going on like this lol. Merry Christmas people! Its getting down to the last couple weeks. Finally. The whole house is reeking! Only plain water for past couple weeks and only a 1/2 gallon at a time. Trichs are like 75% cloudy 10% amber and 15% still clear. Yes i know there are still a few white pistils, but at the rate theyve been turning i figure they will change within the 2 weeks. Not going to harvest till done but Im hopeful it will be. The other plants are many weeks to go. My new beans arrive friday. Happy New Year peeps.

New beans are here. This gg4 run cant get done fast enough. The one plant is almost finished. Days now not weeks. Smells like it too. The little 1 in the back is expressing indica. 18" tall and golfball nugs. The larfmaster on the right looks like shit but its gonna make some good edibles. G'day growmies!

Final weight on the 1st of my last ILGM GG4 autos. 115.3 grams. Only about 20 grams of larf, and its still good. The tops are tight, frosty AF and smell like lemony kerosene. Buzz is really good. Best ILGM plant ive had yet. Wish they all were like that. The next 1 looks to be ready in the next 3-4 weeks. Already started a Mephisto 3BOG, and about to start a freebie GSC auto by Fast Buds.
