Setting up for an indoor grow

I have done 4 harvests now all outdoor and light drop tho. I am looking to setup an indoor area for veg and flowering. I have a 250w mh a 600whps an 1000w hps never used them I have been begging under leds. Can anyone give me some input maybe what to consider any input would be helpful. I’ve got 3 sorbet kush 3 animal mintz and 5 platinum kush

What kind of input are you looking for? Some specific questions would help.

You have some good equipment it sounds like. 600W hps is perfect for a 4x4 tent

Was wondering how much heat the 600w will add. And how many plants would you flower in the 4x4 at a time and what size pots.

I grow 4 plants in a 4x4. Each plant is in a 5gallon pot. I only grow in the winter, so heat is not an issue for me. My ambient temperature in the house is 68-70, my temps in the tent stay in the upper 70's to around 80. Do you live in a cold winter climate? Or is it warm year around?

Generates 19 c/ 70 f per minute, so a tent at 70 will go to 140 without cooling, roughly.

Yea everything u said is my same situation Cold winter otherwise I was using a greenhouse. I got those 11 plants but it’s already so cold out then I remembered I had lights from my uncle and their pretty good ones there’s a 250w mh and a 600 and 1000w hps all 3 have their own ballast so I wanna Set them up appreciate your imput. What size exhaust you use for the 600 and what’s the height of tent

hows your yield?? I’m gonna do the 600cause I’m worried about overloading the line cause it’s my bedroom lol but 1000 is tempting. I have a shed but it gets cold in there

I actually have a 400W, wish it was 600. My last grow I added a 260W HLG quantum board to it also. With that setup the temp gets in the low to mid 80's in the tent. I'm using a 10 year old 4" Sunleaves Windtunnel 4 fan, 200 cfm. The tent is 4' x 4' x 6' 6". It's a cheap tent, the tent itself is nice, but the poles are flimsy. Had to make my own frame with 2x2's for a good sturdy tent. Wrapped them with mylar.

I cannot compare the last grow with the added led to any other grow because I grew autos for the first time. Also for the last time. They grew great, yielded a lot of weed in a short grow. But crappy as far as getting high. I'll stick with photoperiods. This grow I am starting now I will be able to compare against previous grows with the hps alone since I will be doing the same as normal. I am going to grow 2 Nirvana Northern Lights, 1 Nirvana Girl Scout Cookies and 1 Nirvana AK-48. That should get me about a pound and half by mid March.

That’s good to know I was curious bout the autos I think I’ll pass know tho lol gd looks. Yea I’m probably gonna throw a makeshift tent 2gether tomorrow and set it up Really hope they legalize soon by me Jersey just got it I’m in ny

Yeah, I'm fortunate now. We passed the medical law 2 years ago here. The first dispensaries just opened up a couple of weeks ago... You have to pay another $100 on top of the medical license fee if you want to grow. But it's worth it. Limited to 6 flowering plants. That's no problem. The problem arises that you can only possess 12 oz... With my 400W alone I would get 18-22 oz with the 4 plants...

6-9 plants in 2 gallon pots of coco if you run the 600w in a 4x4.

You should be able to cool it with a single 6” in-line working as an exhaust and to air cool your 600w light, and using passive intake. If you don’t have an air cooled reflector then I would invest in one.

Back off the nutes a little bit, you have a borderline N toxicity. You can tell from the dark green almost bluish leaves and the leaf tips curling downward.

I do have an air cooled reflector. I thought it was nitrogen toxicity but I’ve never given these anything but plain water. Lol.

Roughly 9.2 amps is what 1000w ballast pulls. 440cfm exhaust fan .9 amps drawn. Your bedroom is prob on a 15 amp circuit. Shared with prob another room, and or the bathroom. If you don’t have a lot of other appliances you may be ok. Running a 1000w ballast on an extension cord is dicey. If the extension cord isn’t heavy duty you run the risk of RF interference. Knocking out WiFi to your house and other places near you.
