sexing after 12 hours of flowering?

When is the earliest anyone has ever been able to tell the sex of a plant after switching to 12/12?

I switched to 12/12 yesterday and today I was able to spot hairs on 3 out of 4 plants. The fourth looks to be male.

I switched from lights on 24 hours to lights on 18 hours about 4 days ago just to try and cut back on power consumption. Could this be the reason why they have showed sex so soon into flowering.

Its hard to get a good pick because the hairs are so small, but see attached pic. Is this even possible?

damn you. i have one that's been on 12/12 for 14 days. nothing. i think your light changed 4 days ago MAYBE gave them a little kick.

When did you guys get rid of the males? before flowering? or did you let them flower for a while just to make sure?

Definitely confirm that the males are males before you rid them. Don't worry-they don't release their pollen until the pollen sacks are very swollen and bunched. Obviously you don't want to wait this long. From your pic, that is a female and interesting that they showed so soon. My last grow showed after 72 hours. I think the cutback in light is the reason for you......

Ok, I was worried about leaving the male in too long, but I also didnt' want to get rid of the suspected male until I'm sure (its my biggest one). That clears that up. I appreciate the help everyone.

Here is are two picks of the suspected male. Is it a sure thing?

your plants will show hairs if you veg long enough, but will not actually bud until you flower it. sexing in fowering is because most of us flower at 12 inches, or 4 weeks, when the plant has not yet matured to show sex, but we force it.

the first one is definitly a lady, the second i dont know. i havent seen a male up close and personal yet.
