No offense taken. I am new at extractions. I am curious though have you ever ran 5-6 thousand dollars of bud. I did, and its half an inch thick. Its hard to put a giant sheet of shatter in your pocket. Making shatter from bud is worlds apart from shatter with sugar leaf. I lost a ton of money doing this. I don't care. It's not burnt or old. It was cured though. Fresh frozen has no cure. That's why my ICE HASH and shatter will rock your world. This is a big boy toy I pull out at session's to show off, I only smoke my ICE HASH.
To be fair the cost of the product is irrelevant. I can spend 5K on LP cannabis or 5K on BM cannabis, in the end it has no direct correlation to the returns you get. Also, I simply stated it MAY be darker due to oxidization from perhaps being warmed a bit too much, NOT burned. Doesn't mean it's useless, just amber colored.
Also, shatter from a nug run as opposed to a trim run will differ in potency, smell and % return. Otherwise you are still extracting cannabinoids either way and the process is the same. Once again, only difference being the nug run will have stronger terps, and higher yields off of the same amount of material run as a trim run, and also higher % of cannabinoids, which is a given.
