I would say that this is an accolade to a knight, Sir Steven.Samsung produces them for us. Can't even order this flux bin for production.... It's not just a bin but the best of all lm301b period. We will have a data sheet eventually down loadable on Samsungs website. All the numbers aren't filled in yet but soon.. View attachment 4136657
When your order from china you do it in bulk, you dont buy 2-4 boards, you buy 16 like I did lol. Thats when its a good deal to go straight to a mfg.As someone in the thread suggested about support from HLG. In my experience in dealing with them to correct an issue it was a weekend wait and then I was plug and play on my way to flowering some of that sticky sticky. I don't know about you but I know for a fact that every other time I've ordered from China unless the parcel was already in my country it took up to 3 months to receive goods, not to mention that DHL wanted some $55 for shipping and HLG had it down to $32 for me. GrowersLights was even cheaper and faster shipping after initial lead time when I ordered another prebuilt QB. I will stay with HLG because they have proven themselves worthy of my hard earned dollars.
What do you think about the Zeus board? Is it maybe original Samsung diodes or is this a chinese copy?If youre shipping with dhl (like meijiu did for me) the shipping is included in what to pay at customs (custo.s calculated at invoice + shipping) so you will allways pay customs on what u get from meijiu.
@pollen205 for 150 dollars you can only really get very crappy options. Maybe a 2nd hand hps. Depends on what u want to cover.
Again, if you need help from people try to get details, like how big a space do you want to light. That way people can tell you if its even possible. 150 dollars dont go a long way. Have you got all the rest of you equipment budgeted? Fans, extraction, climate control?
If you up your budget slightly id recomend 2 Zeus boards 3000k from led-tech.de run dimmed on a HLG185-42A for about 80 w each: no need for heatsink, and all components available in the eu for no customs.
All info from here:What do you think about the Zeus board? Is it maybe original Samsung diodes or is this a chinese copy?
And is it true that i not need heatsink if i run it low? Like 54 or 77 W.
Also my dudes. PRINTED CIRCUITRY BOARDS are circuitry printed onto a board. It's not rocket science. And HLG uses the EXACT SAME supplier for these boards as alibaba sellers.For all you gents who thing hlg is superior here.is some info that their not as good as.u think

Happy New Year, growers and swappers!
Earlier this past fall, we had a chance to see a grow by “That Hash Guy”. His initial post is here:
/r/nugswap/comments/9ssvl0/here_i_go_flipping_again/
What “That Hash Guy” was using in his tent intrigued me. He had one HLG light, a 260W QB V1 LED (I believe it was V1, it might have been a V2 – the difference I will explain later below). Those lights are remarkable LEDs called “Quantum Boards”. They are different from the typical Blue/Red/Yellow (“Blurple”) lights we so typically see as Quantum Boards are all white light. They are a full spectrum light which emit with good efficiency at a cheap cost. LEDs of that kind were not available until relatively recently and are still relativelyexpensive when compared with Blurple LEDs. But now, they are cheap enough and efficient enough that they can be used to grow weed, cheaply.
Growing under white light is always preferable. The spectrum is full. You can see any signs of nutrient deficiencies clearly – and early – under white light in a way that is quite difficult under a Blurple LED light (or even a yellow HPS). In that sense, it is like growing under a white Ceramic Metal Halide lamp (CMH) and so that’s a HUGE plus for growing under Quantum Boards.
Still, Quantum Boards from HLG are hella expensive. Can we do it cheaper? Well “That Hash Guy” did.
What That Hash Guy ALSO had along with his HLG 260 light was 3 x Chinese Clone Quantum Boards which appeared indistinguishable from the HLG light. And the knock offs were WAY cheaper. And they were in stock, too. What sorcery is this? Let me explain. (This will take some time and space in a number of posts to follow)

Quantum LED Lighting Boards
The primary seller of the Quantum Board lighting kits is Horticultural Lighting Group, based in the USA. There is a Canadian reseller as well at https://www.horticulturelightinggroup.ca/ (The Canadian reseller is a commercial grower in B.C. who has a streaming grow webshow if you care to check it out on Youtube and Zoom and see 100+ of these larger LED lights in action.) The thing about Quantum Boards which makes one envious is that:
1) they work very well for growing weed;
2) They run with far less heat than an HPS light, making them easier to cool;
3) they draw comparatively little power, making them FAR cheaper to run;
4) They are, sadly, expensive; and
5) Worse, they are hard to find just to be able to actually buy one. Just going to HLG’s US website reveals:https://horticulturelightinggroup.com/collections/kits
that many of these kits are sold out for WEEKS at a time. And when they come back in stock, they instantly sell out again. For the Canadian distributor, he doesn’t bother with the smaller kits most of the time, he just orders what he uses himself, namely, the HLG 550 V2. These lights sell for $1,049 USD and are sold in Canada for $1,340.00 CDN plus tax and shipping: https://www.horticulturelightinggroup.ca/
Nice light, to be sure, but damn, that’s expensive.
So when That Hash Guy posted about his “Chinese lights” I was intrigued and went down the rabbit hole on these knock off lights. Here is what I found out…
Firstly, the HLG lights are “from China” as well. All the parts are made there; some are merely assembled in the USA. The parts HLG uses are all sourced from manufacturers in China – some of which are the same manufacturers on Alibaba that we can make use of. The reason HLG is out of stock for long stretches at a time is because it chooses slow (and cheaper) shipping methods from China, gets these parts in, bundles them in kits -- and then sells them out almost instantly and uses the proceeds to buy more parts for more lights. It also assembles the kits in lamp form and packages them for sale as assembled lights. The markup pays for the website and the owner’s home, groceries, taxes and employees. So then they order more of them with the money from customers. (It began as an undercapitalized small business; he needs customer money to acquire inventory) Rinse, Wash, Repeat. That's HLG's business model.
Secondly, these “Chinese Knock Off” lights have been adopted by many users on various forums, with that foray beginning in the second half of 2017 and now throughout 2018. There are also a couple of employees of HLG on these same forums and the dissing of “cheap Chinese lights” from HLG employees and their friends lead to an obscuring of the truth: namely, that the so-called “cheap Chinese lights” are largely identical to those sold by HLG. The difference? The price is about one third the price of the light that HLG sells it for. The difference in the parts for V1 lights? Basically, none. The main difference is all mark-up.
There have been some changes in HLG’s products as a result. To compete against the knock-offs, HLG came out with a V2 of their Quantum Boards. Let me explain the differences between these V1 and V2 boards to you.
Whst u get is chinese parts manufactured in america. Dont get it twisted. Hlg buys their pcb off the same company as baba suppliers. . This is fact.For those wondering about HLG quality ... you get what you pay for.
What you pay for is quality CONSISTENT components ... not substitutes.
Board matching .... incredible after sale customer service ..... maker support ....
New offerings ..... USA made .... NO BULLSHIT.
They have let me run testers and THOSE also run daily. They constantly refine and improve ... they look at forums such as these for user input. See if Taiwan Tammy does shit like that.
The Alibaba train is like the McDonald’s of led boards .... fast out the door fluff.
There are a few boards pulling its weight but it’s a crap shoot on what you get.
I personally can state I purchased and continually run ( original S5 boards ) daily for 4 years ( currently )
in perpetual grows ..... non stop.
I never could get that kind of reliability in other boards or components. I run VEG and Flower tents on 18\6 ( autos ) and 12/12 regulars .... All day Every day.
That nug swap is bullshit.
Hlg uses chinese parts and assembles them in america. No pictures needed
You don’t know what the fuck you talking about .... Samsung is a Korean company and works with HLG.Whst u get is chinese parts manufactured in america. Dont get it twisted. Hlg buys their pcb off the same company as baba suppliers. . This is fact.
If your happy paying 1300cad for an hlg light. All the power to you.
If someones happy paying 550cad for the same light but 5% less efficient. Good for them.
Oh no did we hurt her feelingsYou don’t know what the fuck you talking about .... Samsung is a Korean company and works with HLG.
I don’t pay 1300 cad or whatever chicken bone and pebble currency you are use to.
Enjoy your flaming won ton and untwist YOUR panty liner. @Stephenj37826 and @robincnn will more than happy to EDUCATE you on the manufacturing of their products.
This idiot is am AMERICAN QUANTUM BOARD light manufacture as well.Problem is they all Lie.
Look at Fisherman Link, he even said they are "vouched for" at rollit, But advertising a 200 Lumen/Watt 301H chip (?)
First of the peak efficiency of 301H is about the same as LM301B , second lets say they advertise the "actual output",i can tell you the 301H will never be running 200, due to heat/driver etc. The actual output meassured is closer to 150-160. Basicly before you even buy, the manufacture doesnt know hes own product.
2nd: You dont buy 301H as they run a 6500K spectrum, which is far worse than the LM301B even if it can reach a 3% efficiency gain
We use the 301B For this exact reason.
I never once said all clone boards the same. I said HLG uses the same suppliers as some people on baba.Feelings not hurt for a “ jungle slut “ .... self explanatory lol.
Cutting and pasting internet fodder seems to be your strong suit. To me I really don’t give two flying fucks on your spectacular penny pinching. Just stop spreading false info that all clone boards are the same thing. Many are not , some ship 3030 leds. So try again.
Many perform .... many don’t. And that’s all anyone needs to know.
Huh!?!?!?!?!??!?!Samsung is a Korean company and works with HLG.
