Should I be leaving my fan on 24/7?

Hey guys... During my 18/6 light cycle I keep the fan on for the 18 hours during light, but I turn it off during the dark period...

Should I be running it throughout the dark period or no?

Cool, thanks. +rep
I figured that was the case... I need to get a timer so bad... I've been manually controlling the lights for the last 5 days..

My broke ass can't afford a timer.

I have my fan on the same timer as my lights, you don't necessarily need any cooling when the lights are off
but you need airflow to prevent mold/mildew. if your fan is strictly cooling your enclosed light fixture then by all means, turn it off with the lights. but your girls still need fresh air when its dark.

the fans that cool my lights are timed...my fans for moving air into and around my room are constant.

I'm not using the fans to cool the lights, I only have 2 42 Watt CFLs and one plant, so it's not like they generate much heat or anything.
I have the fan to just move the air around in my little grow area, and to sway the stem a little to give it some more support.

then its my advise to leave it on 24/7. dont you think the air should be moving in the dark? humidity levels rise during the dark period. stale air and high humidity spell mold/mildew issues.
