Should I return inkbird temperature controller and buy infinity 8s or is it overkill
8s Will help better with temps..
Or just buy the infinity 4s and sell temperature controller

My gear right now
Room is 3x3x8
Inkbird humidity & temperature controllers 2x125cfm fans
No light yet will use room to dry my outdoor.
Will get light in Dec when Cali cools down.

I use a T8 in my 6x12 room and it’s only runs on speed 5 max. That’s a little overkill for a 3x3 imo.

S8 will only have a pretty manual speed controller and overall is probably overkill...but you can turn it down. ;) I find that either running the fan on a setting full time or having a controller that allows a lower resting speed that's not 'off' are the two things I like. I don't think the inkbird helps too much in the situation if your setup is also dependent on any kind of filter to control smell. The minute a fan goes to off, your negative pressure goes away and odor control goes out the door.

I'd buy it, keep it low and plan on purchasing the Controller 67 when you can afford the extra 50$...that opens a whole range of fan operations which do help to normalize tent environment.

Buy it just bc. I paid more for same model. Once ya have that, abother light or two and your on your way to a whole new grow space when you can add it. IMO its if youre runnimg a 3×3 now, youll eventually wanna upgrade so why not grab the equipment on discount.

If it’s a sealed space… you can open vents and use furnace filters to filter incoming air. It also depends on your lighting situation, like is it in a room that can be made dark so light doesn’t penetrate during lights out. Then you could pull a great deal more air through the tent. A intake fan is only needed where u can’t control outside light sources. And you need to match the exhaust flow to the intake if you do. Just my 2 cents.

a good fix for the odor issue is to run the carbon filter as a scrubber in the breath room.

So true. I started growing one plant in a 3x3 a little over 2 years ago with an AGLEX2000 for a light (450-500 out the wall), now I have a 9x5 for flower, a 5x5 for veg, a tiny 2.5x2.5x2.5 for clones/seeds, and a 3x3 and a 3x2 I use for drying, but will soon be for seed making, and somewhere around 3000W (not all used all the time, just depends whats going on)

You just started and you have a 3x3.....I'll watch for your next post in a couple months asking if the 8 is ok for a 5x5

This is a really good point, I’ve only been doing this a couple years now and I’m about to add a 3rd 4x4 tent.

I run my whole room carbon filter on the ac 8 and love it. Wouldn't think about putting it in the tent tho
