Should I get an led light?

you could easily use 8 LEDs in a 2x4. do you have a drill press?

-untapped heatsinks are cheaper. M3 screws are what you want to mount with. buy the half inch or less length so you dont drill into your heatsink fins.

-promotional epistars, trusty chinese brand normally 36$ going for 9.9$ right now .. you can easily use Cree or anything rated similar 30-36v 3-3.5A

^^run four LEDs in a series to be set for an incoming 120-144vdc circuit

on the HOT wire from the wall add an AC capacitor in series with your circuit you will build. it will block current flow. ive calculated this circuit to give 2 A and 105v using only this 3$ capacitor. dont buy from the snake salesman. buy smarter. if you're in America then this capacitor will work. if you're in europe youll need one that can handle at least 240vac

for safety sake you can fuse your circuit @ whatever the max rating for the LEDs are. if using the epistars then 3.5 amps is a safe peak for the fuse. you wont have to worry about it randomly blowing for no reason.

and a bridge rectifier

wait wait wait wait wait
can you read a schematic? are you even trying to DIY? i should have read OP...........

ill post a schematic or a link to mine if you care. if not, no worries.

Hey guys. I am going to grow an auto assassin auto flower plant.
I use cfl lights and this really slows down the growth. If I used an hps the plant would grow a lot faster.

I don't have the space for an hps and I wouldn't be able to control the heat anyway.
I was looking at the mars hydro led grow light. It covers an area of 2 feet by 4 feet and my closet is exactly that size.

If I get this led would it make my plant grow a lot quicker than using cfl's.
Did you mention budget?

Everything looks sound other than the blurple. Perhaps getting some good COBs perhaps citizens clu48s
yea thats up to you guys. i like blurple because it isnt plain old white light. but i like lasers and plasma and fire more than growing marijuana

Eh it looks cool but it just doesn't preform, it's about saving money otherwise MH or HPS are a better bang for the buck. Epistar LEDs are less efficient

oh well. it grows pot fine. 130g vs 120g a plant isn't a big issue to me. especially when im not spending 30-40$ a chip. i mean , they would cost that much but a sales a sale. iv got a few brands going on in my room. some are high end monos. i know im preeching to crucifiers so im going to stop defending myself. take the schematic for whats its worth i dont want to argue about individual LED efficiency since idc

hows the current hold up versus heat? im only seeeing 2.7A max. i mean 100Uf cap will ballast down to about 1.2A forward current off a 120vac when rectified so it could run on cheeper parts than im using now.
