Stop. He can do a small flush or just feed it plain water and let it go as long as it can. That ain't ready.
Half cloudy trichs or better is good enough to get max THC so waiting really gains nothing more than extra nutes in the buds when plants have been overfed.

In a week or so I'd be taking off the top colas and giving the rest another week or more to finish ripening up then finishing it off. Waiting for amber takes weeks longer sometimes and amber indicates THC is degrading to CBN so a waste of time, power and grow space IMO.

I'm using a mix of soil and clay pellets for the medium. For nutrients, I am using this:
Used the "Veg" for the veg state and this one, currently:

It said to mix a half tsp into 2 liters of water and use it every time I watered. Obviously that was WAY too much. lol.
Stop using that stuff and give plain water for awhile. Those nutes are strong. That's also a shit ton of K. Too much K can actually lockout K if you can believe that.

I'll take a ripe flower as opposed to an unripe flower with higher thc. Extra nutes in the bud...lol with black ash too probably...haha stahp.

Some mixed signals. lol.
I'll switch to plain water for now. The sugar leaves dying are what really prompted me to think about pulling them, early. Is there a consensus on how long I should wait, given the failing condition of the plant?

Maybe listen to the brainiacs on here and leave it for another month so it pops an sizzles when you smoke it. Always fun at parties.

the salt have built up good when the bud leaves are dying off so flushing then waiting for a while is one option but it won't make any difference.

I've only been growing bud since '78 so what do I know.

I'm a complete noob. I've grown 1 plant, so far, and got a really low yield (13 grams). All I know is, listening to the advice I get from you guys is FAR better than guessing, myself.
I've switched to plain water for watering. You are saying a week more should do the trick? Or should I wait and see how it looks in a week and reevaluate?

I said earlier to go another week or so with just water and see how it goes. If the sugar leaves are still dying back after a week I'd chop it.

Dinner bell! So off I fuck. :)

Looks like your plant was stressed and some trichs just degraded early. I've never seen that much burn, so it's hard for me to comment. But honestly they don't look like they've even fattened up yet. I wouldn't let the whole thing turn brown or the trichs get more than about 10% amber on the calyx before. Flush or no flush it's gonna taste like crap if you don't dry it right. I've also seen a lot of frootloops talking up a two week flush and black ashes from heavy metals and a bunch of other nonsense that just shows they only know what they hear on the internet. Just don't tell them that, might hurt a master internet grower's feelings if you argue with his wiki web capture

I would flush it out and then start feeding again at half strength, giving more from there if they can take it. But it'll take a week to recover. The plain water will solve the lockout if it's the right PH.

I keep the PH right around 6. I've had it on all water for the last two waterings so...almost a week.

so slowly pour a gallon or two of distilled through it, let it dry for 5 or 6 days and then back to business feeding at 1/2 directed feed until she's done. You'll need to eyeball ripeness since the trichs are turning early. Most strains go 9-10 weeks. Be sure and only feed them once a week and make sure some water comes out at the bottom to avoid salts building up. Dry periods between feeding are important, if you feed early she'll get bloated down
