Should I mist water on top of my plants?

no its not needed really, and if you spray to much sometimes the light will burn the plants where the water droplets were. I only spray clones, never after thatbongsmilie

To the people who say never mist your plants think about it in natural growing outdoors plants get soaked by this thing called RAIN... So I'd say misting is safe except in flowering stage as your buds could get moldy from too much water not dried off..

yes misting is safe, but dont mist too much, because the tiny water molecules will attract eachother and form a droplet. this can act like a magnifier and and can intensly heat up. then again its just a thought?

personally i would say do you need to mist them?? if not don't do it. If you really feel the need to mist do it right before the lights turn off. happy growing!!!!

misting the underside of leaves from time to time can help to prevent spidermites. plus it can help to clean any dust off the leaves. just never mist after you see signs of bud development.

Fuck that I hose them down veg to flower. I grab the garden hose and when they are almost done flowering I back off, but they f'n love it. It total helps with the mites too!! Never had a problem from it. Just do it 1hr before lights on or hit it from the bottom side so no much water is on the tops next to the lights.

I'd say its safe, but like u have already seen, it can act like a magnifying glass and burn ur plants. If u feel u must just do it right before you turn off your light. Good luck!

i wouldn't recommend spraying budding plants as it will contribute to bud mold.

and if you cant do it while the light is on it is probably not worth doing. it is not a good idea to interrupt a light cycle. unless of course you have a green bulb in the grow room as well.

I wouldn't put too much weight on the whole water intensifying the light enough to burn the leaves.

some growers even use foliar feeding to hasten the recovery of nutrient deficient plants.

I spray my plants 2 times a day and they luv it but they are under a t-5 and r still veging. Humidity is good when plants r veging!

I usually mist with a vitamin B mix at the seedling stage. And then mist occasionally with BMO foilar during veg. Find it hard to just spray the undersides so I just spray it where I can. I grow with CFL and LED only though.

Yes it can lead to getting powder mildew, but I have tons of air exchange and keep a nice temp so I don't have any problems with that. When the lights come on I use my garden hose to shower them down. After about 30days into flower I cut back on the spraying and try to only hit them from the bottom up. This helps so much with spider mites!! Ever since I started to spray I have seen huge improvements with bugs and the overall health of the plant. I make it rain everyday when they wake up :-P
