Hi guys I was just wondering if I should trim some leafs off my plants to let more light in to the center and lower branches? Some people say you should and some people say you shouldn't, does anyone have a good answer for or against? Their just starting their 5th week of flower

No. That's a load of bullshit people made up.

It does seriously help keep mold and fungus from setting in by allowing more air to circulate through the plant.

It can be extremely helpful once you understand how the plants work, as a beginner, I would just lollipop it.
I prune hard , but it’s important to do it at the right times or you will hurt the end goal.
I would work more on keeping them healthy at first.

So should I trim the little branches that dont get any light? Or just let them grow for the popcorn? Their already 4 weeks in to flower

From what I've read here some varieties respond well to pruning and some don't. Was surprised to hear that even in flower a little trimming can be good. I was leaning towards not trimming at all except for a little lollipopping for circulation and so I can get in there and water. You could also supercrop to let light and air in there some. Yours seem nice and dense so just a thought.

Some strains will respond to different stress in different ways, the same can be said for phenos . It’s important to find the right phenos for your system n growing styles.
Pruning at the wrong times could give you nanners , or hurt your yields etc.
Some like it some don’t , it comes down to grade 2 science, with a hypothesis, a control & a variable. And being able to make observations and data collection.
I hit them hard 2 weeks b4 flip, a little at flip n good lollipop, then once stretch is over , n lollipop again. If there’s any branches that I feel are a sucker I remove. Then it’s about light distribution.
Will removing leaves make your bud smaller? Yes
Will topping make your bud smaller? Yes
It’s all about % of light hitting bud sites
And keeping things in check.F22B95A6-D2BF-453F-97A1-11EC24D08CD5.jpeg3BCC63D4-6DE0-4E6D-8502-391FF660C6D6.jpeg
